Dr McKennae treated my son, Christopher, from the time he was 9 until about 16 when we moved from Ma to NC. Dr. McKennae specialized in treatment and surjury for Ear conditions. Prior to this, we had been seeing only Ear, Noes and Throat Specialist since my son was 1 yr old. Believe me, in this case anyhow, there is a difference! Dr. McKennae knew right off that Chris had cholesteatoma, and he had surgury and then reconstructive surgury to the ear canal to open the air flow as he kept getting infections. The surgury was supposed to be 2 hrs and it took 8 hrs - which means Chris had the condition for a lot longer than they knew - through 2 other ENT Doctors who did not see it. Dr. McKennae and his staff would fit Chris in whenever he got an infection and often would call in the meds before seeing him (and we struggled to find the right antibiotics as many did not work for him). We would even go back to Ma if Chris needed more work done. By the way, Chris loved the chowder at the hospital!

PROS: Excellent Doctor!
CONS: Driving into Boston - but it was worth it every time!
