We came to Dr. Phillips office with a referral from our PCP. My husband has been dealing with widespread pain throughout his back and shoulders for over 3 years now. We had seen Dr. Phillips for a total of 5 months and only actually spoke with Dr. Phillips twice. If we ever had a question or concern about something, we could only schedule to speak with his Nurse. My husband went to pick up a RX from their office and noticed it was a lower dosage. He asked the receptionist about it and was told, they thought he was on too much medicine. He asked to speak with the doctor and the receptionist was very rude and explained that he could not speak to him. I called up to the office to see if I could get an explanation of the RX change (thinking it was just a mistake). The receptionist told me that Dr.Phillips does not speak with patients, that is what he has nurses for. I said I can understand that, but can I leave a message or something to speak with him so I can get an explanation of the change. The receptionist then told me that, Dr. Phillips refuses to speak with patients. Proceeding that comment, the receptionist hung up on me.
I don't believe any doctors office should ever refuse to let their patients speak with their doctor. This is unacceptable on several levels. As far as I know, it could have been an case of miscommunication, but now I will never know and we are forced to seek treatment elsewhere.

If you are ok with being treated by a nurse, not a DVM, then this is the place for you.
