I took my son to see Dr Harrop when he was three. I feared for his ability to ever have children. The operation was painful. However, my son is now 24 and has two wonderful,l beautiful children. I can not than Dr Harrop enough.

In July 2001 I took my son to Dr. Miller for an undescended testicle. Dr. Miller commented on the fact that my 2 year old son wasn't retractable (he is uncircumcised). During surgery Dr. Miller went against my wishes and retracted my son. When we found out later (my son screamed bloody murder for 3 days every time he peed because Dr. Miller HURT him) I asked Dr. Miller why he went against my wishes and he said that he was a guy, and had been a urologist for 20 years and that he knew more about penis' than me. I beg his pardon, but the Academy of Pediatrics had even then made a statement about how boys don't necessarily become retractable until puberty. After I told him that he said "err well the area had to be sterilized". Well pardon me but urine is sterile, and the penis has mechanisms to clean itself, so what the heck are you doing practicing in a field you know nothing about!!!

I turned him into the Texas medical board but funny thing, they found no wrong doing.

Whether or not you think he did, remember that this man is not good with children and you are better off taking your child to Dallas to a pediatric urologist..

PROS: none
CONS: bad with children, outdated and uninformed, hasn't kept up with latest medi
