Dr. Han was born in Vietnam and came to the U.S. as a child when communism took hold of the country. After a few years in Florida and Chicago, his family settled in Houston, Texas. Dr. Han graduated Cum Laude in biochemistry at Rice University and received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, both in Houston. During medical school, Dr. Han served as a Vietnamese-English translator for a major hospital system and became interested in all fields of medicine. But, Dr. Han was most drawn to the idea of taking care of a patient and his or her family throughout their lifetime and decided to pursue Family Medicine.
After medical school, Dr. Han spent three years in Virginia for post-graduate training working in a mostly indigent clinic and served as one of the county’s medical examiners.
After completing his residency training and becoming Board Certified in Family Practice, Dr. Han moved to Connecticut. Among his other appointments, Dr. Han serves on the Board of Directors for ProHealth Physicians and is an Assistant Clinical Professor for UConn School of Medicine.
