My 3 boys love Dr. Miranda. He always seems to have plenty of time to talk to them. They are not fearful of the office, being that is colorful and the rooms are well decorated. He is very attentive and has always answers our questions. I particularly like that he asks my kids questions too. You won't find a more caring doc and regardless of your insurance. One thing that is a constant problem is that his phones are busy in the mornings but once you get through, I have found his staff to be helpful and have had no problems.

I thought I had great care at this office, especially since I was on medi-cal and good care on this side of town can be hard to find. It wasn't until we had better insurance and "moved up" that I found out that the care was not so great. I have three kids who attended the office since birth, including twins that left this practice when they were 2 and a half and an older son . All three had all their regularly scheduled routine visits on time.Turns out my daughter's urethral opening (her pee-pee) was nearly sealed shut (a condition checked for routinely and easily treated with cream, at birth, six months, and twelve months!) I know she was "checked down there" at many visits and this was missed???? My son (her twin) has since been diagnosed with sensory issues and developmental issues and is in special education now. he had failed to lift his head by 6 months and I was told by the Physician's assistant that he would outgrow it within a few months and it was just because he was cramped at birth, since he was a twin. He later rolled over very late, sat up very late, babbled late, crawled and walked very late...still only received a referral for an orthopedic evaluation (not a developmental specialist, just dealing with his motor movement!) at 19 months when still not walking. Later, when consulting a full team at another location regarding him possibly being autistic, they were shocked at this office's lack of concern for his developmental shortfalls. The Developmental Psychologist at the meeting said "a child who doesn't life their head themselves by THREE MONTHS OLD should be immediately screened for CEREBRAL PALSY and a host of other serious developmental problems...and that lifting their head is more of a milestone than any other! Like I said, thought they were great doctors and a great assistant, but turns out I knew better and it's sad considering how many very young children they see.I understand how hard medi-cal can be, but if you go to this office, be sure you educate yourself and double check what's said...I simply thought they knew their stuff !

We love Dr. Miranda. He has been treating all 3 of our kids. He is relatable and easy going. He makes sure we understand medically what is going on. He really knows his stuff too, he is always giving us information/answers to all we inquire about.
Our favorite nurse is Martha! She is the best, also VERY easy going and you can tell she really cares for the kids.

My daughter has been very sick on multiple occasions and trying to get an appointment took me nearly a week each time. I think the er Dr knows our family better than the staff and Dr Miranda. Dr. Miranda always made me feel rushed and his staff wasn't very friendly, they're inattentive and the wait time is always at least 30 minutes. For the families who have only met Dr. Vargas its because Dr. Miranda doesn't see medi-cal patients personally.

I've never actually seen Dr. Miranda even though my 2 sons are his patients. However I am very happy with his PA and my kids really like him. They seem to be really good doctors. However every time I go in the wait in the office is horrible. It is never a quick visit and the staff doesn't follow-up on things - you have to stay on top of it.

Dr. Miranda is a one of the best pediatricians in the central valley, I feel I was as well as my boys were very fortunate to have him as their doctor. However, I found his office staff very incompetent as far following up with their patients and the wait too long to be seen at every appointment to overlook. Dr. Miranda you deserve a better team to support your practice.

Dr. Miranda doesn't make you feel rushed and is so gentle with all children. He makes the parents feel comfortable and his staff is just so nice as well.

Dr. Miranda really takes his time and makes each patient feel like his own child. He is patient, understanding, caring and really tries to relate to the children. I would definitley reccomend him!
