Devoted to fitness and nutrition, Dr. Monica Harms encourages her patients to utilize exercise and healthy eating habits in order to maintain their health and happiness. A certified personal trainer, Dr. Harms effectively helps her patients incorporate exercise into their daily routine. "Exercising in as little as 10 minute increments, several times a week, is enough to kick start a fitness program," states Dr. Harms. She encourages the use of vitamins and natural supplements over prescription medications but also acknowledges that medications may have a role in helping her patients achieve their best possible state of health.
Dr.Harms welcomes patients of all ages and in addition to fitness and nutrition also is interested in adolescent health, pediatrics, weight management, smoking cessation, personal fitness, alternative medicine and preventive care. A former paramedic, she also thrives in the urgent care setting her office provides, tending to all emergencies from broken bones to lacerations with ease. Dr. Harms is currently accepting new patients.
