.

I was dealing with a high risk pregnancy due to a rare genetic condition when first going to Slocum. I later transferred to Strong Women's Pavilion in Rochester, NY which was a night and day difference. The staff is very condescending and rude, I received a phone call around 8 months pregnant that I was going to be delivering my baby and MUST go to St. Lukes. I was in shock and panicked, how unprofessional and unheard of is that? I spend an hour to two hours in the hospital and then see the doctor for less than 5 minutes, then we're back home. Scared out of our minds is an understatement. I wanted to switch but due to insurance and location wasn't able to as soon as I would've liked to. Every visit was a complete rush, hardly any questions answered, billing office is a nightmare, overall unless you have a smooth pregnancy with no questions/concerns, this isn't the place for you.

My first birth was beyond miserable, due to complications because of my pelvic bones being too small to push any size baby out, we needed an emergency c-section which caused MAJOR complications for the baby. Never had any doctor tell me that until afterwards, I was stunned. Didn't think I couldn't push a 4lb baby out at any point and apparently neither did the doctors. Be very cautious when considering this office, especially as a first time parent with questions.
