Dr. Gottlieb is an EXCELLENT doctor. However, his nurse, Stephanie who gives the allergy shots is "fudging" when she administers shots. I thought it was strange that I rarely felt the two injections. And, I started to get suspicious. Other patients stated that they did not feel the injection either. It is not that she is that good at giving them. She actually keeps the syringes behind her back prior to injection. Then, she does the shot so fast, you can barely see the syringe. This last shot was definitely "not drawn up". I quickly looked and saw that the cap was still on the needle. Then, I felt confident that my suspicions were correct. At times, she actually draws up the vaccine and has the receptionist do the injections. I actually see and feel the needle when the receptionist, Heather, does it. I don't know why she is doing this and I am sure Dr. Gottlieb is unaware of this happening. It is unethical. I am torn about whether "to or to not speak" to the doctor in confidence about the situation. Maybe I should just find another allergist?

My daughter had problems with repeated ear infections that caused a major problem with her hearing. We were always impressed with his care, both in terms of his sweet demeanor and expertise. I actually drive from downtown dallas to see him. Regarding the 1-star comment, we did have surgery and I think it was at Plano's Children's hospital, which I would expect to accept almost all types of insurance. It was covered under our insurance benefit, however, most insurance plans have a deductible that must be met for surgical services before they begin paying. This was true for our plan, so we paid something like $2500 (I don't recall exactly). But, even with that we still benefited from the negotiated rates set by our insurance company. So, I question whether the persons comment is really an issue of staff honesty or just a misunderstanding.

The intention of this review is to warn any and all patients of this doctor !!!!!! No matter what is told to you regarding your benefits.......... do not listen!!!!!!!!! What I have since come to find out is that the surgical facility he sends his patients to, only accepts a few of the major insurace plans. Now looking back, I see where I was told that they would honor in network benefits. That is "their" way of feeling as though you are being made aware that they are not in network. Nice way of manipulating and wrongfully advising patients wouldn't you say? What actually happens is that you pay what you would if in network ,but guess what?????? Doesn't apply to your in network benefits with ins. company which leaves you screwed! I had already met my in network ded. prior to surgery nothing was met towards out of network which left me with a $2500.00 bill. If you want an honest Dr. that cares about your well being, GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Several of my friends had also been his patient, but after I made them aware of what had happened to them as well........we all switched doctors. Funny how you don't get return calls when someone knows of there wrong doings!!!!!!!

Excellent care was given through out my entire visit, surgery and follow up appt. His staff goes the extra mile to make you feel at ease from the moment you walk into the door. My kids love his nurse (who is great with children) and him as well!

I found Mr. Gottlieb to have excellent bedside manners. He was easy to talk to, and had a clean waiting room, nice staff, and got me in quickly. I would definintely recommend him as an ENT.
