Dr. Ola seems very nice. He diagnosed my 15 year old daughter and proceeded to take a folded up piece of paper out of his pocket and check her weight/height and age on it. He said she needed to lose 60 lbs. When we told him what the gym said her BMI was he scoffed and said that was inaccurate and the chart was better. He never considered that my daughter has very think bones and her father is 6' tall and she will most likely be also. Then he proceeded to tell her to make sure she eats 5 servings of vegetables per day. Great advice except she is a vegetarian and eats lots of soy which is a problem with her condition and also the veges she likes (brocolli, kale & spinach) are also a huge problem. I found these things out some time later researching her condition. Another problem is Dr. Ola is only in the office 2 1/2 days a week. I work fulltime and do not get time off for appointments, also I have a daycare and it's almost impossible to go in to see him every 3 months. I am switching doctors.

I'm now 22 but had Dr. Ola as my pediatrician (from ever since I can remember until I was 18). What a fabulous doctor. I felt completely and totally comfortable with him (which I hear can be hard for a girl with a male doctor during adolescence) and once I turned 18 and had to get another doctor it all went downhill. Haven't had a regular doctor since, no such luck as that which I had with such a great doctor as Dr. Ola.

Oh, my gosh, I love Dr. Ola. He has been part of our family for 18 years. I have 4 kids and none of them have ever said they are scared of the doctor. In fact, when they see Dr. Ola they are happy to see him, especially when he relaxes the kids with his ball and light trick. When we received a letter informing us that he was selling his practice, I literally cried. He is the most nicest, reliable and professional doctor that I have ever met. He is a very good doctor and has always returned our calls, when we called after hours and believe me we called quite a bit with 4 kids. You rock Dr. Ola.

Dr. Ola was my primary pediatrician for a while, but he is now working only in pediatric endocrinology. He was always fantastic, however, the wait times could be up to 2 hours! He has been replaced by Dr. Rahul Grover who is also very competent, but the wait time still is often 2 hours! I once got the first appointment in the morning to avoid the wait, and they kept the door locked for 30 minutes, and so I sneaked in the back and it STILL took me an hour to be seen. The play area is not well maintained and I constantly see sick kids playing in it. The facilities themselves also need an upgrade.

For those of you looking for a good pediatrician, it is really great when the doctors have washbasins with footpedals so they don't touch the faucet handle and re-germify their hands. I constantly feel like my son is leaving with more illnesses than when he came in.

I am now seeing my family practice doctor as my primary go to guy, but when I think my son really should see a pediatrician, I brave the facility to see Dr. Grover. He listens and takes his time, and he is very competent. I've been looking for a pediatrician as good as he is, with a correctly maintained office, and so far I haven't seen one. So for now, I'm sticking with him.
