Very Rude and did not bioposy my tumor properly. Her nurses are as bad as she is....RUDE, UNCARING, and INCOMPETENT! My first 2 visits with her were great but once I had the surgery, follow up appointments, and treatments to prevent the bladder cancer from reoccuring it was HELL!!! Dallas and Plano have much better, competent, and caring urologists than Dr Kim. Trust me when you read the other reviews and 2 star average rating....she should not be in practice!

I recently moved back to Texas after a lenghty absence and had realized I needed the services of a urologist for a genital infection. I called Dr. Kim on reference from the Medical Center of Plano's Health Matters newsletter. I have had 5 office visits to date with Dr. Kim and have been seen within 5 to 10 minutes of my scheduled appointment each time, except for the last visit, which was scheduled at my request for the same day. On that day I did have a longer wait, but I was advised when I arrived that Dr. Kim was running late due to surgery that was more involved that anticipated.

I was initially impressed with Dr. Kim's no nonsense, but informative approach, to my situation. I have remained impressed with her since.

My situation improved and then relapsed. Dr. Kim's approach to the further diagnosis of my situation progressed as accepted by other experts in her chosen specialty, and currently I am scheduled for removal of tumors from my urinary bladder.

During my fourth visit with Dr. Kim, she performed a cystoscopy and advised me of the presence of tumors, She also advised me the tumors may or may not be cancerous (that would be determined by biopsy at surgery). but that I should be advised that in her experience the probability of the presence of cancerous cells was probable and I should expect that possibility
.
Following this visit, I embarked on extensive research of both my possible/probable condition and Dr. Kim. Dr. Kim's diagnosis and recommended treatment are completely according to accepted and latest practices, as determined by my consultation with several of the nationally known leading authorities in the cancer field.

As far as Dr. Kim's qualifications and experience I have discovered she is extremely qualified and has vast experience in the area of concern. Anyone can verify this for themselves with a little research and a few phone calls.

During my last visit my wife accompanied me and met Dr. Kim. Dr. Kim patiently and completely explained my situation to both of us (in layman's terms) from my initial visit to the current recommendation for surgery, as well as the other possible future treatment and outcomes. We both had a few questions, and these were answered simply, but completely.

I feel fortunae to have found Dr. Kim to treat me.

This doctor's nurse called me to set up a MRI w/ contrast. I asked why she decided to go with a MRI vs. a CT scan w/ contrast (I had already had a CT) and the nurse said that I probably have cancer so it was important. WOW! That was the first time I had been talked to about possibly having cancer & looking back I realize the nurse was just being rude trying to get me off the phone because I had some questions. When I complained about the nurse to Dr. Kim, I was told that I could find another doctor if I didn't like her nurse - that she had to let another nurse go because that nurse was rude to patients and she hadn't had enough complaints to have to go through that again. So, in other words she didn't care about me - she was worried about having to find and train another nurse...amazing! I was in pain and the nurse told me that I shouldn't be in pain. So, she obviously was saying I was lying and wasn't going to help me with any discomfort by way of medication. I switched doctors and have to have surgery to remove a massive growth on my kidney. The new urologist is wonderful and kind!

My 3 appointments, and 1 surgery with Dr. Kim were awful. I should have run screaming after the 1st one (she refused a catscan or any other immediate work up), but went to the ER the same night, had emergency surgery by HER even when I told the ER dr I did not really feel at ease with her. She takes nothing seriously, does not review her charts, her staff lost two of my tests, and I could go on!! Stay away!!

I had a horrible experience. I would not recommend her to anyone. After about 2 minutes in her office, she was called about an emergency and left. I was ushered out by the nurse (despite that I told her I was having sever pain) and told they would send my urine test out for culture (which takes 48 hours and it was a Thursday). This meant it would be Monday before I heard back from them. I was given some pills that were supposed to help with burning, but didn't help at all. When I called the office the next day due to severe pain I was told to go to the emergency room. She didn't do anything to try to deterine what might be causing the pain. Turned out I had a kidney stone which I found out by going to a different doctor.
