Trust me, Go somewhere else! The nurses are so rude especially Dawn in Worcester and the donor egg nurse sharon. they wait until the 4 to let you know any of your test results. when you have a question about a medication they are so confused and annoyed, save your money and go somewhere else...........when having surgery there it is like a factory, there is no privacy and you can hear how many eggs or whatever the other person got. please trust me I have never written a bad review about anything! I heard Reproductive Sciences is more personal and you will not feel like your in a factory.

strongly encourage women NOT to go to Boston IVF. I wasted FOUR IVF cycles here and regret that I did not leave sooner. I could list a million reasons why I don't recommend them, but here are just a few:

-- the majority of the nurses at Boston IVF are extremely rude and non compassionate. They seem to have no idea how to treat women dealing with infertility. Another poster mentioned Mona as one of the extremely rude nurses, but there are others. Many of the nurses are condescending, refuse to answer simple questions, and sigh and huff on the phone if you ask something. They lack any understanding of what the IVF process is about and are completely cold when it comes to patient care.

- Many of the doctors at Boston IVF appear to care more about bringing in new patients and increasingly their yearly profits, rather than patient care. When you first go to Boston IVF, the sales pitch is given to get you in the door. But once in the door, you will rarely be able to see or speak to your doctor, even if you have a serious question about your treatment plan.

- The process of embryo transfer at the Waltham center is not geared to ultimate patient care. Instead you feel like you are on a factory line, one after another being brought in to the operating room. Right before your transfer, you are told how many embryos are viable, but not further information or guidance is given on how many to transfer or what your options are. If you try to ask questions, the doctors are annoyed (as they have to keep the factory line moving moving moving).

- Follow-up care is atrocious.

- The receptionist at the Brookline office, Julie, is one of the rudest receptionist at a doctor's office I have ever encountered. She rolls her eyes at you, talks about other patients loudly, refuses to answer questions (such as: how long before I'll be seen), and is generally condescending.

- Amanda at the Brookline office is also extremely nasty. When crying after just learning that I was having a miscarriage, Amanda did not even look up from her desk as she made my follow-up appointment. But that didn't surprise me as she had been consistently rude throughout my treatment.

- Treatment plans. You are given a treatment plan (short or long protocol) without any discussion with your doctor. And don't dare question the treatment plan or ask why you are being medication X over medication Y, because you'll get the run around and never be given an honest answer.

- The doctors are not up-to-date on the latest in ART technology, literature, or procedures. (This is probably the number one complaint about them, I could deal with the rudeness of the staff, if I though the doctors were actually competent).

- The doctors rush you into the next IVF cycle (to pad their bottom line) without taking a step back and trying to figure out WHAT may be the actual problem with you.

Been with Boston IVF for about 1 year. Still hoping for success. While sometimes it feels large, everyone is kind, caring and compassionate. They make a difficult experience feel as if you were going through this with the love and support of family or friends. Good luck to all!!

I want to start by saying infertility is such a highly emotional experience. My husband and I dealt with this emotional turmoil for six years. I honestly hope that each of you experience the miracle of a baby, and all of your dreams come true! I can sit here today, and know without a doubt that our own miracle would not be sitting here cooing and spitting up on me right now had it not been for Boston IVF and Dr. Alison Zimon. In the years leading up to our joy we tried numerous non-invasive options, doctors and clinics. The worst and lowest experience for me was when a nurse actually said, "You are to NEVER question the doctor!". That did NOT happen at Boston IVF, in fact that's when I went running to Boston IVF. Everyone at BIVF treated me with respect, compassion, and genunine care. When I went in (scared to death) for proceedures I felt like my mom, aunts and sisters were caring for me!!! Honest!!! We never had an issue with billing. All instructions were clearly given and written out for us. At another clinic I remember leaving in tears because I was so confused. Never felt that here. After our first visit with Dr. Zimon we left with smiles on our faces and a renewed hope! A year later we welcomed our baby boy. I could not find enough good words for Boston IVF! Good luck to all.

I have two wonderful children thanks to Dr. Berger and am so grateful to have started a familiy! Here's to hoping #3 is on the way soon!!!!!! If I was any younger I'd do this 5 more times :) And also...some advice to those searching out a clinic. Do your homework and rely less on reviews like mine and the ones you see online. Make your own decisions. My husband and I made two seperate consultations at highly reviewed clinics and we weren't feeling it AT ALL. Don't be lazy. Get out there and meet specialists. Take tours. Ask questions. This process is hard enough. It's a huge life moment. Make your OWN decisions.

wow....not sure about some of the negative reviews above...but my experiences at Boston IVF were pretty decent and the complete opposite. My friend recommended me to the center after she was ultimately successful in conceiving via Dr. Alison Zimon...and we were happy with our treatment as well (we go to Waltham). Still going through the process ( ihave PCOS so things have been rough) but am confident in the treatment I'm receiving.

Regaurdless of what some of these reviews say, Boston IVF is a great place! I have been dealing with them for years now and have had five successfull pregnancies all resulting in single happy healthy babies. Dr. Thornton was my dr for all 7 of my prcedures! She is very caring and a graeat DR, I would recommend her to anyone! When I had to meet with other Dr. is was ok, not as comfortable, but she was always kind and caring, and just about every nurse I ever had was very caring and professional. Even the lab techs were always kind and friendly towards me

I also went to this office. Everyone I saw was very kind and caring. They take the time to listen and have lots of compassion. It is a clean and friendly envioronment. The only thing with this one is it is right off of a very busy road.
