Dr. Solat is the greatest optomestrist I have ever been too. My wife and three daughters all had our eyes examined by Dr Solat in one visit. He was thorough, compassionate and dedicated to giving us great care. My wife and I both needed glasses and we are thrilled with the result. The staff was professional, courteous and enjoyable to be with. The store was clean and comfortable. For your next eye exam, for contacts, glasses or just a check up, you must go to Dr. Solat.

I ordered my glasses from Cohen's. Upon first glance, I thought that this was a very nice establishment. The sales lady was personable, the eye exam was cheap and thorough. However, it was over 3 days before I received my glasses. They said that they had to order the lenses. I said that I no longer wanted the tint on the glasses and since they told me that they tint in the shop it would be at no expense to them to refund me that money. They said it's their store policy not to do so. Note: This was before they did anything. Then, I asked for a refund on the purchase. They said definitely not.
THEY DO NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM UNLESS YOU DON'T MIND WAITING A WHILE TO GET THEM. THEIR SERVICE IS VERY SLOW AND THEY ORDER FROM AN ONLINE SUPPLIER. PREPARE TO WAIT.
Oh yeah...I called with a problem and I was hung up on twice. I had to call corporate to ask them to communicate with the actual store. I would never order from them again.
I just got off the phone with Cohen's Corporate office and it's sad to say that there corporate office is just as poor as their store service. They said no refunds and they said that they expect customers to read a sheet that has their customer service policy, which is somewhere on the wall in their shop. They say that this is what protects them.
I had a tint on my glasses that they hadn't done yet that I no longer wanted. They said..."Sorry, no refund, but you're welcome to spend that $60 credit at any of our 150 stores across the country". Have a nice day." I told her that there's no chance that I'll ever return or buy anything from them again.
Also, the poster below is totally right about his posting about their prices. They advertise lower prices and compelling deals, but when you get there, they add lens charges. Bottom line is, there prices are outrageous for their lower brands. I wouldn't reccomend them to

Cons: TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

.

I scheduled an appointment online for 8:30am and when I arrived, the woman there looked very confused and told me the doctor wouldn't be in until 9:30. How disorganized do you have to be to not know when your appointments are? It can't be that hard to update the system not to accept appointments that early for a given location, or at least check it and call people to tell them they need to reschedule.

I ended up getting an appointment a few days later at Eye to Eye and was very happy with that experience. I suggest you skip Cohen's and go to Eye to Eye. It's only a few minutes away, and they are apparently much better with customer service.

Well I've been putting this off for a while, I've been needing glasses for more time than I am willing to admit, last Friday I noticed I was having a hard time seeing my dog from across the apartment, I told my partner this and she basically took me by the hand and walked me into the Cohen's nearby. The doctor took me right away and pronounced that yes, I am blind...but they can fix me and make me see again. Afterwards I (with the aid of my girlfriend and a really understanding associate) found a good looking pair of glasses that won't make me look like my mother with her big black frames. They told me to come back in an hour, so my girlfriend and I walked around and she pointed to a bunch of things I couldn't see, after that wonderful experience, we came back, got my glasses and I can finally see. Moral of the story, get glasses and see rather than get made fun of by your significant other.

Pros: I can see! Got a good looking pair of glasses

I went to this Cohens to redeem my union benefits and the staff was helpful and showed me to the frames that applied to my benefits. The doctor was friendly and gave me a thorough exam. They told me that my glasses would be ready the next day and as promised they were. The store was neat and clean, the staff was kind and helpful and the doctor was professional and informative.
