Dr. Nauman was my OB GYN until I was 7 months pregnant, and then I thought it was in my best interest to switch for the following reasons:

1. Unprepared: Had a 16-week sonogram. At 19 weeks I went in to see him and the practice never received my sonogram results. They did the entire check up without knowing they should have received my results. I had to ask at the end. Never saw the results, they called in to get them over the phone, and all I was told is "everything's good."

2. Lack of explanation: I felt like I wasn't being educated about the blood tests. When they were drawing for blood, I was never told why unless I asked. Given only very general information during the entire process. During the visits, I wasn't looking for emotional support, but I was looking for some level of educating the patient, and I didn't receive that at all.

3. Solicited my private information: I felt like the practice was trying to sell me "cord blood banking." In some ways, I wonder if the practice receives a reward if their patient signs up for the cord blood registry. Here's what happened: 1. First visit given cord blood literature. Declined the literature. 2. Received an addressed envelope with no return address from the practice about the cord blood registry. 3. Received a phone call from the cord blood registry. Asked how they got my phone number, private information and knew so much about me. They said from my doctor. 4. Received emails from the cord blood registry. Unsubscribed and still received emails. I called Dr. Nauman's office about this, and they said the reason was "Dr. Nauman believes cord blood is in his patients best interests." I told them if this was true, I would have liked Dr. Nauman to ask me how I felt about Cord Blood or mention it to me. He never once mentioned the words "Cord Blood" to me.

4. When I switched doctors, they charged me $40 for a copy of my files. My files only included paper work from 4 visits.

In general, before going, I never know what I'm in for. If you're having a healthy pregnancy and you want your doctor to make decisions for you, I say he is fine. If wouldn't recommend him if you want to be educated to some degree along the way or have a natural child birth.

I was referred by my most trusted obgyn soon after conceiving. Art Nauman is very cheerful and fast paced. I am not used to a doctor being like a humming bird on caffeine but he was dilligent, caring and talented. While I did not have a strong relationship with him, I trusted him implicitly based on the word of my referring physician and was not disappointed. I have the utmost confidence in his abilities and will refer him to others as he will be the one to deliver any future children. He is very passionate about his work and I was lucky to have him see me through my pregnancy and delivery.

Art Nauman is the worst and most unprofessional doctor that I know. I hope everyone who reads this will never think twice about having him as a doctor. He is nothing but immature and has no morals whatsoever.

Dr. Nauman was very impressive while deliverying my grandson for my daughter. Once there became the slightest concern for the baby's health, he slept in a room directly next to my daughter's, rather than going to the doctor's lounge as all other doctors would had done. He was always there to answer any of my daughter's concerns and seemed to genuinely care. He always called right back! Certain members of his staff, on the other hand, (NOT ALL) could be very abrupt and insensitive to a first-time pregnant girl's feelings and concerns. There was also one member of Dr. Nauman's staff who was very pleasant and a joy to deal with as well (She seemed to be a little more experienced, which probably helped). I would recommend Dr. Nauman's office to anyone having a baby, especially a first time mother, or even to women just looking for a good GYN.
