I came to Dr. Diers office very nervous about braces. His staff made me feel relaxed as soon as I sat down. I can tell they really care about helping me. I just got my FR and it is helping me to sleep better already. I am no longer nervous because I know I'm in really good hands.

My 14 year old son (almost 15) looks completely different. Before treatment, his chin was weak, recessed, and zero of his bottom teeth showed. He is nearing the end of his treatment and his jaw/chin is strong and masculine looking. His teeth are perfectly straight and his bite is perfect. To be honest, I am shocked at the bad reviews. I question the reviews, because we've had excellent communication and Dr. Diers personally sees him before and after every visit. He has done all the key/important treatments and let's face it, results are what matters. My son looks awesome now. Braces are a lot of work. They have to wear their elastics and use the equipment they selected or it's impossible to get a good result. How is is the doctor's fault that someone doesn't wear their elastics or FR? Moving jaws and teeth is rough work. They never sugar coat that it's going to be easy, but if your child does what they are supposed to do, Dr. Diers will give you a fantastic result. I took my son to him when I saw another teens teeth/jaw. She has a movie star smile, and I had to know who did her teeth, because believe me, they were not great before! I can tell who the kids at our school go to. Dr. Dier's patients don't end up with "gummy smiles", because he knows what he's doing. Other kids may have straight teeth, but they end up with too much gum showing or weak chin lines. His office staff are nice and professional. I didn't have problems getting appointments scheduled or them working with us in any way. I would use him again for sure. Like I said, in the end, all I really care about is results, and Dr. Diers sure fixed my son up!!!!

Dr. Diers has a crummy bed side manner with adults - if you are a patient just remember he is used to dealing with teens who don't listen to him. However, he knows what he is doing. I was 28 when I got my devices on. I had a pregnancy and several other health issues during my treatment; however, he and his team were extremely patient with me. They humored/respected me when I indicated that I would not permit him to use any glue or chemicals on my mouth when I was pregnant with my little angel. 8 years later when we saw that my daughter's mouth was too tight for any new teeth, THERE WAS NO DOUBT WHO WE WOULD GO TO. My child loves him and listens to him implicitly. I adore his team and him (yea, it is a bit difference as a parent! :) )If you care about your teeth or the mouth of your children, there is no other way to go. I'd stake any of my kids' mouths on it - I already did mine - with amazing results! Thanks to Dr Diers and his entire team - they gave me a new freedom and helped my daughter and I.

We have been very discouraged with our daughters treatment by Dr. Diers. We struggled through the use of an FR to expand her bite and things seemed fine until we got to the end of treatment and were told about a way to shorten her brace wearing time. If we agreed to use a tooth positioner to do the final fne tuning she could get her braces off early. We weren't told that she would be wearing the positioner for at least two years!!! When she has it on she can't talk and it has to be softened in very hot water to place it on her teeth. This means that if she yawns or talks in her sleep she is up in the middle of the night heating up water and re-softening it!!!! I feel like we were mislead and the staff didn't take the time to explain the positioner to us. We are going to have to put braces back on her teeth to get her bite where it needs to be.

Business Response:

The TRUTH about the Tooth Positioner... The tooth positioner is a very valuable instrument in the long term results and maintaince of your new smile! That being said, it does require some commitment, and is completely optional. All patients are offered the tooth positioner, and are shown a video that explains why Dr. Diers feels it is so important.

When contemplating orthodonic work for your first child, you need as much information as humanly possible - when we started with Dr. Diers we were so overwhelmed and felt like we were signing our lives away. The more procedure and mouth wear my son wore (which resembled a torture chamber) the worse things got. In the end, we reallty saw no changes. It was very disappointing.
The staff was nice, Dr. Diers was kind, I would just have to consider less invasive methods and at not such a young age.
