I read the review from "Loving Sister" and was surprised and very sad. I would never suspect that this doctor would have such a policy, because he is always seems helpful and concerned. I wanted to add, though, that I lost a loved one to suicide, and I would say to anyone whose loved one is distraught: get help anyway you can! If you can't get in to see a regular doctor, take your loved one to the emergency room or to Holly Hill or just stay with him or her as long as it takes. It's such a hard call to make. I made the wrong call myself and wish I had it to do over again. I am just sad this happened.

My brother was a patient of Dr. Clapacs, he was going through a very low time and I called to get him some help since this DR had seen him times before, expressed how sick my brother was and they said until his bill gets paid we will not under no circumstances see him. $ 150.40 On the spot I paid his bill and then they made me pay the collection agencey bill too before they would even make an appointment, $ 470.00... I expressed again the extreme urgency but still NO. This was on Wednesday, I called back on Thursday cause they had to verify with the collection agency that the payment actually went through and asked them one more time to see find a time to see him and was told NO, no openings till Monday, that Firday afternoon my brother took his own life.
It would have taken only 20 -30 minutes of your time to have saved a father of an 11 year old, husband, brother, someones son.
I hope you can live with that for $ 620.40

I read these reviews just today and have to say that I called this office at a very low point in my life and the staff was very helpful and courteous. I have been a patient here for 5 months now and am very pleased. The doctor that I see is professional and caring. He gave me hope and a path to make things better. The staff worked with me from the very beginning to find an appointment quickly and has always been helpful when I call. I would recommend this office to everyone I know.

I agree with the other comments. Doctors are great but the front office staff is rude. Whoever the lady is that answers the phone is rude and talks down to you. If it wasn't for my son loving the doctor I would switch. The doctors need to be aware of this because it is making their practice look bad.

I've been going to NRP for about 7 months and I see Dr. Clapacs. Dr. Clapacs is a nice enough guy, at first I didn't think he cared much about what I had to say and was just waiting for my 15 minutes was up so he could write me a prescription and walk me out. However; to be totally fair he did say that his primary method of practice was to prescribe medication to adults so I can't really fault him as he tole me this up front. The office is a little hard to find but very nice and clean. I, personally, have found the staff at this office to be police and curtious. Most appointments are on time or at most 10 minutes late (depending on when during the day your appointment is I suppose- most of mine in the AM). I do get the impression that they (the Dr.'s) are VERY tight with their prescriptions, they keep good records and make sure that enough time should have passed in order to write you another prescription. Regarding refills, my experience has been 1 for 2. Once I called the office and left a v/m and they called it in right away, another time I called it in and they took more than 4 days to call it in.

Pros: Dr. does listen carefully and take good notes. Makes sure what he prescribes will not have adverse affects with anything else you are taking.

Cons: Kind of hard to find the office. Leaving a voice mail for a refill can be delayed.

I would just like to say that the doctor that I see (Dr. Clapacs) is highly professional, caring, sincere, and generally concerned about your total welfare. He maintains eye contact, listens very intently, asks questions where clarification or more information is needed, and makes his assessment afterwards. He always answers any and all questions or concerns that you may have, and he explains his assessment and/or opinion to you completely until you understand it fully. He explains his thught process about your medication and then any changes to it that he is going to make and why he is making these changes and choices in medicine. The office staff has always been extremely kind, professional, and friendly to me whenever I've been there - they have also been very helpful whenever I had a question, concern, or needed something. I would highly recommend this practice and place of business to anyone in need of assistance.

I would first like to state that the Doctor I saw at NRP (Dr. Clapacs) was very professional and courteous. I I would definitely recommend seeing him, however only if he moves to another practice. I, like the other review listed, found the reception staff to be very impersonal and at times VERY rude. The act snobby, talk down to the patients and if you miss an appointment due to miscommunication, they talk to you like you're stupid or beneath them. They act irritated if you have a request. Because of this, I am finding a new doctor. I wonder if the Doctors in the practice realize how they are being represented by the women working in the office?

Pros: The doctors are wonderful. Very educated and truly concerned about each patient.

Cons: Very rude office staff.

The receptionist was impersonal and terse, which made me reluctant to pursue an appointment.
