I am definitely satisfied with Dr.Rosemary. She's one of the best doctors in town. Been with her for 10 years & was never denied patient care. I've entrusted myself & my family's health to her for 10 years.

I was a patient in 2005, and although Dr. John is absolutely fabulous, his office workers are very disorganized and have caused me severe harrassment issues with a collection agency. I have dealt over and over again with a couple of service dates that WERE NEVER FILED to my insurance company. I went to the Doctor's office before moving out of state, in person, to give them a forwarding address. They sent bills to my old Las Vegas address, and when they did not hear from me, to collections. Last year, I received a call from QUANTUM and immediately called my insurance company, who verified that the Doctor's office did not file on time, and therefore I was not responsible for the bill. They faxed the EOB to QUANTUM and a year later, they are calling me again about the same bill, except now there is at least 100.00 in interest!! I called Dr. John's office, and the staff was not helpful and practically hung up on me saying "it's already with collections, there's nothing we can do." The collection company tried to pull "there's a courtesy file law in Nevada", but my doctor has a contract with United Healthcare directly, so that law does not apply. I highly recommend that you go to a different office to avoid such a nightmare. They also have in-house blood testing, but they still charge a 20.00 delivery fee to my insurance. UNBELIEVABLE!

I have been going to Dr. John since 1991, when he had a full head of red hair! From then until now, he has consistently offered quality health care and interesting insight and advice. He is so caring that when I discussed a health problem my husband was having, he

actually pulled a medical book down to research what could have been causing my husband's issue! Then he yelled for his wife, Dr. Rose, to see what she had to say about it.

Dr. John has lobbied the State/Governor to fight against rejections for medical care/testing/procedures/etc by the insurance agencies. I had seen him on the news several times, as leader/speaker for hundreds of ob/gyn's who were speaking out against medical malpractice insurance scandals. (Which resulted in HUGE increases in malpractice insurance costs for doctors and further resulted in hundreds of physicians leaving Nevada)

This year, after I had my second child via c-section - I expressed that my nausea and vomiting in the hospital was the result of diesel fuel emissions entering the newborn nursery unit from helicopters taking off from the hospital's helipad. He could not believe it! He went around interviewing nurses to inquire if it could be true that the hospital would allow these emissions to enter the unit. He discovered it was (and that the nurses often feel sick because of it too), and did everything he could to get the hospital to change the ventilation system to prevent these harmful emissions.

I do not profess Dr. John to be perfect. In fact, I see how his activism makes him weary and cynical at times. But I do think he has strong character, integrity, and intelligent medical insight.

One disappointment: his sense of humor is not what it was back in 91!

I read 2 reviews about Dr Rosemary Nowins who shares the medical facility that she was very good and went to her. But was very disappointed- one it takes anywhere between 1-2 hrs for each and every appointment. The nurse is so stupid- that if you ask her anything she will just shrug her shoulders and say that she does not know and the Dr would know.. Further where is the Dr- that is also something she does not know- although they are in the same building supposedly.
The Dr. is more interested in doing tests and not talking and discussing the issues.! I am not going there again!

I was left bleeding for 3 weeks after 2 return visits to this Dr. after a full hysterectomy in 2004. I was told I had a "seroma"( which actually was a 1 and 3/4 inch gaping hole at the point if entry for the surgery,) and keep the wound clean and it will heal". I eventually became "septic" and my 9 year old found me unconscious on the floor of our hallway. She called my then Boyfriend who immediately called paramedics as I was delirious with a fever over 103. When I was admitted to the ER, they discovered I had lost over 1 1/2 pints of blood over the 3 weeks. My heart was not performing adequately and was in intensive care after a multitude of expensive tests were run.The bill came to over $150.000. I was most fortunate I had insurance at the time but I still carry thousands in medical debt.I will never forget what this man said to me as he left my room before signing off as the attending phys. He looked over my paperwork with a fine toothed comb and stated "this is not a result of anything that I have done". He singed off and left.I was out of work for over 6 weeks and had A wonderful home health care nurse to help me take proper care of my wound. She advised me to seek council which I did. Because I did not "parish"or sustain injury's that permanently disabled me, I was told the Dr. who just happened to be the spokes man for Nevada Dr's and Malpractice insurance would get a slap on the wrist and that would be about it. I was advise that my insurance co. could file suit butthey decided against it.I could have contracted an infection at any time with out any one's negligence. The tragedy in this is that this Dr. had many chances to help fix the issues before I became so ill but decided to let me leave his office twice without taking steps to prevent further harm.

I highly reccommend APN Jill if you must go on your female yearly exam. She was friendly and fast. I left with three months worth of free samples. She also answered all questions I had quickly and without making me feel like an idiot for asking. I appreciated her professionalism. I am not eager to go more than once a year but if I had to, I would choose her.
