When I first moved to Carol Stream about 9 years ago, I was going to a chiropractor that just didn't seem to care - he was always overbooked, he never seemed to have any time to discuss the problems I was having during my visit or even answer any questions I had. On nights when I would see him, I always waited 45 minutes to see him (and this was after commuting for an hour from Chicago!). This was not only frustrating but was becoming old quickly. I decided it was time to find someone new and I found Olympic. \n\nI have been going to Olympic for 7 years now seeing Dr. Josh Younce and couldn't be happier. Dr. Josh and all the physical therapists take the time to listen to you and they really care. I have also been going for regular adjustments during this time and the care and healing that I have gotten there is top-notch (not to mention the state-of-the-art machines they use as well for adjustments). Most importantly, they treat the source of the problem and not just the symptoms. Secondly and just as important, before undertaking any rehab, they do various muscle tests (or an evaluation) to pinpoint exactly what type of rehab/exercise is best and needed to take care of whatever is ailing you. \n\nI have gone to Olympic for rehab for both shoulders (one was after rotator cuff surgery) and also for a pulled a groin muscle about 2 years ago. I would not be in the shape I am now if it weren't for Olympic and the staff that helped me through some very difficult and painful times. Through exercises with watchful eyes in their physical therapy area as well as my doing them on my own at home, I made a complete and full recovery. Because of them, I am in the best shape of my life and I have them to thank for taking such wonderful care of me. My shoulder is completely healed and I can do virtually everything (and then some) I could do before I actually tore the rotator cuff (minus any pain as well). And after rehab for my groin pull, I have no pain whatsoever and even though I workout alot, I have not had any recurrences of pain either in that area. \n\nIf I would have gone to a regular doctor, I would probably still be in pain and on numerous pain pills as well but because of the patience, encouragement and wonderful care I got at Olympic, I am having stronger workouts and feel great! All I can say is that you guys really rock! Thank you for being there, giving me my life back and allowing me to enjoy it even more. Kudos to all of you and thank you for helping me to progress rapidly yet patiently through all the pain I had to go through. I love you guys! If I could give you a rating of 10 stars I would! \n\nSusan Galle

I have been to several chiropractors over the years that have been good. My experience has been that Olympic is excellent!! The care I've gotten over the last 8 years has been personal, specific, honest, and healing! Several times I've gone there - barely able to stand and every time they have helped me back to health. With regular adjustments I am doing better than I ever dreamed. After my knee replacement, I had started at a different physical therapy place but wasn't making the progress I could have. I switched to Olympic for the rest of my physical therapy and the progress really accelerated. My 8 year old grandson began treatments (for some hyperactivity) and we noticed a difference almost immediately in his calm demeanor. Dr Pat has hired a Staff that really cares about the patients and it shows in every way. . They will assess your condition and be very honest with you. I wish there were 10 stars to rate them because - I couldn't recommend Olympic more highly!!

I started going to Olympic after dealing with back and neck pain for years. I also had other medical problems that could not be prevented with conventional medicine. After several months of regular adjustments I felt better and was able to stop taking all of the Rx's for my other condition. The problem has not come back in years! I too did not find relief from the Pro Adjuster so I get manual adjustments. If you are open about your needs and speak freely about your experience, your needs get met. I now have a son who gets regular adjustments and in 8 months, he has only had one cold and never gotten an ear infection!\n\nGoing to Olympic has made a huge improvement to my everyday quality of life!

I learned of Olympic when my son was injured in wrestling and Dr. Pat was recommended to us by both Mark Hahn and Hector Gomez during spring wrestling.\r\nLittle did I know how walking through their door would change MY life.\r\nWhen my son started his therapy in April, I asked Dr. Pat about myself. I made an appointment to be evaluated with a posterior tibia tendon dysfunction in my left foot. I had already been examined by three doctors of whom two said surgery was necessary. Dr. Pat suggested physical therapy and also consulted with me on nutrition. I started physical therapy not really expecting too much thinking this was a waste of time. I attempted everything that was demonstrated and after much sweat (and tears) noticed that there was some improvement. I started believing that this may be effective in delaying surgery and really started to look forward to the ?workout?.\r\nThen I went through a thorough exam and discovered that the chiropractics were necessary as well. I also started the nutrition program Dr. Pat initiated. An amazing thing occurred through this process!! I had suffered with pain since 1997 with fibromyalgia and noticed with the back treatments, the pain was actually diminishing! I really became enthusiastic on physical therapy and enjoyed the challenging activities doing things I never thought possible?balancing on one foot on a bosu ball while throwing a ball into a trampoline????\r\nTheir team showed me a way to better living. During physical therapy I lost 15 lbs. and gained confidence in working out. I now work out every day at Lifetime and twice a week I am working with a personal trainer. I have lost over 45 lbs! I am totally pain free for the first time, I have a ton of energy and sleeping well and my foot is absolutely as good as new!! I actually played in a volleyball tournament and have run in two 5K runs.\r\nA big thank you and hug to Dr. Pat, Dr. Tina, Dr. Josh, Diane, Alex, Chandler, Danielle, and Greg. If I missed a name I apologize since everyone was effective as a team. \r\nI have mentioned my experience to many people and several have already started with Olympic. I will continue to recommend your team highly to everyone.\r\nWrestling season is here so I will be seeing you again. \r\n

Olympic is truly a blessing for me and my family. I have gotten teary over how they have assisted in making my son's life more enjoyable. He is eight years old and exhibits ADD type behaviors.( He has not been officially diagnosed with ADD however.) I spent a lot of time reading up on the benefits of how chiropractic treatments can assist in this area and was referred to Olympic by my mother-in-law. She raved about them! After starting the treatments in February of this year, my husband and I, along with some of my son's teachers, have noticed a remarkable difference. He is much more calm....those days of his ""excited"" behavior has decreased. We changed his diet and have removed foods laced with artifical food dyes, preservatives and flavorings. There are studies that prove that these artifical food additives can cause cancer and do trigger hyperactivity and learning issues in children. With only a diet change and the chiropractic treatments, my son has had great success in his performance at school and also at home. I still have to remind him to brush his teeth or pick up his socks sometimes, but he is a new kid. I recently went in to see Dr. Josh after a bad fall and knew that I was going to be in the best hands. I can see how he interacts with my son that he genuinely cares about him, and not just as a patient. He is one of a kind. The office staff are wonderful, Renee can fit you in the same day if needed....I called the day after my fall and got right in. They are just a wonderful office stuffed to the brim with wonderful people. You simply cannot go wrong by going to Olympic!

I've been going to Olympic for about 7 years for preventative as well as occasional PT for whiplash due to a few car accidents. I also had a weekly adjustment when I trained for an ultra marathon in 2009 which made all the difference. Not one bit of pain during or after the 50K race. To keep oneself in alignment on a regular basis is key to feeling in top shape. Thank you.

My entire family and I have all come to Olympic for differnt issues, and we have all had great treatment. The Doctors and staff make you feel very comfortable and are very genuine. They take the time to get to know the patients and deliver wonderful chiropractic care! I would recommend them to anyone in the area. I actually traveled from the city to Bartlett once a week to be treated by them. I would not go anywhere else!

Although the brothers who own the operation are very knowledgeable and seemingly caring, this is a big business primarily out to make money. \r\n\r\nA treatment contains of about 20 seconds with one of several chiropractors who adjusts your back with a computerized machine (the latest technology--but no hands on) which doesn't bring much relief. Then you spend about ten minutes on a table with an electronic stim pad. Next is 20 minutes of exercise with an exercise therapist. There are hefty charges for each service. Of course you are expected to come in several days a week for several months at a time (and they are constantly running promo deals--pressuring you for names of friends and relatives they could make money off of...) During peak hours it is like an assembly line of patients. \r\n\r\nThere are many good people who work there, but some of the exercise therapists act like bored teenagers who are more involved in their own personal lives and talking on their cell phones rather than working with the people they are supposed to be helping. Exercise therapy isn't usually one-on-one--you have to wait your turn for instructions on the next set of exercises to be done during peak hours.\r\n\r\nThe bottom line is we (as well as many other previous patients) are now being serviced by a traditional chiropractor up the street (who is actually aware of our progress), making fewer visits, paying less money (one fee for all services rendered) and experiencing much greater improvements in the alleviation of pain and sustained health.
