I found the Dr to be very validating and understanding. Because we shared the same religous beliefs, I did nothave to waste my time educating someone else about my faith and the long term goal of my healing. He was kind, patient and above all else VALIDATING ofmy experiences.

the dr was kind and understanding. he was very good at listening to me before making suggestions and even had me do research to better help me understand my situation. he guided me toward decisions rather than telling me what i should do. even though i had to drive two hours to get to his office i would do it again if i had the need. i would absolutely recommend him to anyone who needs this type of help.

A doctor should not impose his own religious beliefs on a patient/client. His viewpoints need to be separated when counseling a patient. Doctor unprofessional/out of line by stating to patient that their issues are "of demonic influence ...and that medications are of no help" & that "consulting another psychologist or psychiatrist who does not hold or share same religious faith or beliefs, would be of no benefit or help at all to patient & their condition". A doctor berating a patient for not sharing or properly following same belief system as them, is wrong & so is a doctor chastising a patient for biblical sins. Such counseling is erroneous, unprofessional, abusive & dangerous. It was suggested to patient that "consulting a different therapist who patient found favorable and nice would only be of detriment to client, since client would only be liking what they wanted to hear". Patient eventually sought out professional, mainstream, nonreligious 2nd opinion & was finally properly diagnosed w/ Asperger Syndrome, along with associated depression & anxiety -therefore patient was not suffering from "demonic problems due to their belief system & lifestyle" as so stated by doctor.
