I must admit that I did have a little bit of a wait before I could get an appointment, but now I can see why. This doctor is awesome! He really helped me with my sinus problems. I have never felt better!

I was with a terrible sinus problems for many years until I found Dr. Tamez. I think he is a blessing from heaven. I got my surgery with him. He did not was only concentrated with my sinus, he covered all other problems that I had in my body and he helped me to prevent future problems with my health. I would like to see in USA many Doctors as Dr. Tamez. Dr. Tamez: "Thanks so much and God bless you".

I just today went and got another opinion on the treatment for chronic sinus issues and needless to say the Dr flat out said... "you do not need surgery again, much less the first time"
Dr Tamez just does not listen, wants to blame everthing on sleep apnea.
This new ENT seems to understand that I just can't breath.

What office have these other people been going to that gave bad reviews because it couldn't be the office that I went to. Simply a wonderful experience! Professional and calming staff, environment and physician. I can certainly see how cost can be high, but I also know that MY insurance is what determines that and has NOTHING to do with the physician's office at all and to be honest the cost of healthcare is just high these days. This office is not above average on cost in my opinion. Not only did Dr. Tamez quickly and accurately diagnose my problem, he was able to bring to my attention a neck nodule that I was not aware that I had. Luckily, it was not cancerous, but definitely could have been and if not for him, I would never have even noticed it was there. God bless Dr. Tamez and his caring and helpful staff.

My daughter had a recently pierced ear that had completely closed around the earring. It was inflammed, infected and needed to be surgically removed. Our pediatrician called Dr. Tamez' office at 10 am and we were in his office at 1 pm. No waiting. Dr. Tamez was great with my daughter, explained what was going on (she was not expecting surgery). He numbed the ear easily, talked to her through the entire procedure. I sat in the room watching....he was methodical, no unnecessary steps, kind, answered questions. We really liked him. His assistant checked our insurance before the procedure and came back in telling us we only had a copay, the entire thing was covered. We returned in 10 days to get the stitches out (a total of five - he had to open front and back to get entire earring and the back out). It has healed nicely and we had no charges at all for the follow up care.

I'd recommend him highly. I have to say I'm a bit stumped by the bad reviews, but as we all know, no one can please everyone and some people just have a negative outlook on things. We personally had a great experience and would unreservedly recommend him.

Cons: None found so far.

I'd recommend other ENTs before I'd recommend Dr. Tamez. Poor ability to delineate what his treatment entails and the likely effects.

I was very impressed with Dr. Tamez? professionalism, genuinely caring personality and most importantly his knowledge and ability to communicate with his patients. We left his office knowing exactly what was wrong and the cause of my son?s problem. His staff was very helpful in acquiring pre approval forms from the Insurance Company; they were quick, thorough and very pleasant.

I have found this to be a very professional office. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the physician is very thorough. I have been seeing this doctor for several years and happened to go to google to go get the phone number and saw these reviews. I just felt it was important to let people have an alternate view. I have been nothing but happy with the service and care that I have received. I went to the doctor because I was having sinus infections and sleep problems. He did a nose surgery on me explaining that not only would it help with sinus infections, but also with my sleep. HE WAS SO RIGHT! I used to get 5-6 sinus infections per year and it has been 6 months since my surgery and I have not even had 1 sinus infection, plus my sleep is so much more restful. I have recommended this office to many friends and family and they too had only positive things to say. My entire family sees this physician. Love him! He is great with kids! My daughter loves him! Before and after surgery, the staff was extremely accomodating, there was even an office member that had the same surgery I did and was able to explain what to expect before and after surgery.

I completely understand that health care is expensive, however if you have insurance, that is really not the offices fault, but your insurance company. The office informed me of cost prior to all procedures and explained everything along the way.

I really hope that people read this and give this office a chance. I can't obviously speak for everyone, everyone has a different point of view. But, he is great and the office is great too!

I went in to get my hearing checked. I thought the audiologist was very professional and knew what she was talking about. When I had to go in for a check with the doctor, he concentrated on my nose. He wanted me to get a CAT scan and look into surgery on my nose. From there, everything related to my "deviated septum" without asking any other history on things. My allergist confirmed to me at my next appointment that it was not a problem in need of surgery. I think he is "quick to the knife". I will not go back. I have gone elsewhere to get my hearing aids so I don't have to deal with him.

My husband took my son to his first appointment today. He arrived at 7:20am, his appointment was scheduled for 7:30am.

Dr Tamez walks into the examination room at 8:30am. No apology, no excuse, nothing. He asks how they are and my husband said "we have been waiting for the past hour -our apt time was picked specifically for 7:30am because it's the first of the day".
Dr. Tamez replied "You can get your co pay back, Good Bye".

Wow -We've never experienced such unprofessional behaviour -ever.

Be warned. Post op visits are VERY expensive. I had a septoplasty and other repairs done to my nose that were blocking off my sinus. I had two surgeries three weeks apart at day surgery and each required several visits for follow up on healing, four of which were to remove packing (so I was told when told to make another appt). The day before each follow up, I would find out I was scheduled for an endoscopy (an in office surgical procedure) and even with insurance, I was required to pay $78.00 BEFORE my appt or the appt would be cancelled. The first visit after each surgery qualified as a post op visit, but no others. My insurance company was billed for 5 endoscopies. THe last one really upset me as I had to have the last of the packing removed and the dr had told us in recovery that both visits for the removal of packing would be post op and there would be no charge. We complained but there was no discussion on this allowed. Pay up in advance or find another dr to remove the packing. Though I needed other ENT issues taken care of, I paid up, had the packing removed and found another ENT. Dr. Tamez did send me an letter of apology later for how his office staff handled everything.
