Mayo Clinic is in the business of making money. Mayo Clinic Scottsdale is run by middle management who do not even have degrees. Their latest in this office is a concierge service called the Medallion Program; where patients can get access to their doctor 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Oh but wait in order to be apart of this program you have to pay a fee of 10,000 dollars to Mayo Clinic. So if you are poor, and on Medicare you can forget about going to the Mayo Clinic Scottsdale. They are slowly weeding out their Medicare patients and when I say they I mean the middle management and this particular doctor is all for this new concierge service. Mayo Clinic Scottsdale has lost many doctors to Rochester and Jacksonville because they weren't going to be told how to practice medicine from middle management. Mayo Clinic Scottsdale prides themselves for always being ahead of the game in technologies. But wait what about patient care, the Mayo Brother's always put patient care above everything else, but it would seem that Mayo Clinic Scottsdale is only concerned about making money. I saw an article on the web saying that one of the reasons that they are getting rid of their Medicare patients was because they had lost 840 million dollars in 2009. Well cry me a river, everyone is loosing money right now. I am appalled that their answer is to get rid of Medicare patients, which typically are the sickest patients. Hey here is an idea why don't the doctors take pay cuts? Trust me when I say they make more then enough money to take a pay cut. Bottom line is they would rather get rid of their sickest patients then take a pay cut. Believe me when I say, all of this information applies to this doctor and her office staff. It is really a sad day, Mayo Clinic Scottsdale could become a wonderful institution but middle management is slowly running it into the ground. Luckily enough there are other wonderful doctors in the Phoenix area and award winning hospital's. Just don't bother going to Mayo Scottsdale it isn't worth your time.
