Tri-State is a big chiropractic office. This is both its worst and best feature. They offer a wide array of health care options, including traditional chiropractic (bone cracking--they don't use the actuator method), accupuncture, a dietician, excercise equipment, a masseuse, hair removal, laser surgery for removal of spider vains, etc.

The downside of this health-care supermarket approach is that there is a distinct lack of personal care. Their system for getting patients from point A to point B to C is very complex. I've been in there six or seven times and only twice have I managed to get through the maze without a glitch. Once I sat in the wrong chair (in plain site of all the staff, but the wrong chair all the same) and ended up waiting for twnety minutes because I didn't fit into their little system. I often feel very stupid before I leave (and I have several years of post graduate education).

While the actual care has been satisfactory, it is anything but personal. it's more like having an HMO than a regular doctor because you never know which doctor you will see. Since chiropractic issues are long term health care issues there is a distinct lack of consistency in treatment.

I'm guessing that they would shine is in the sports medicine field because they can offer a whole array of treatments in that context and become a sort of one stop shop for making a body feel good.

They aren't bad enough that I'm going to switch providers, but if I had it to do over again, I wouldn't choose them as my chiropractor.

PROS: Lots of different services under one roof.
CONS: Very impersonal and complicated.
