If I could, I would give them negative stars. This place is the biggest ripoff / scam in LA! BEWARE! The only way I can see anyone filing a good review about these people is if they filed it themselves!

They stole my money and refuse to refund it! They owe me $1,050. The California Dental Board is now investigating them, and I suggest that if they did the same to you, you contact the Board and file a complaint as well!

In November, 2006, I went to this dental office with a tooth that was chipped off. Their doctor, Paul B. Palmer, DDS, told me that it required multiple procedures, such as filing off the teeth, crown lengthening, gum surgery, root canal and a crown. Their price quote was over $4,000. In the same seating, they proceeded to file down two of my teeth ?? the one that was chipped off, and the one next to it.

I was then given an appointment for November 13th, 2006 to have a crown lengthening surgery done by Dr. Isaacs. They made me pay $1,050 ?? for two porcelain crowns to be ordered after the procedure is completed by Dr. Isaacs.

In the meantime, I went to get a second opinion, and the other dentist told me that most of the procedures recommended by Culver Del Rey Dental were easily avoidable, and it was unnecessary to file my other tooth down to that point. The procedure performed unnecessarily by Palmer resulted in my having to get a crown on a tooth that would not have needed it otherwise. (Can you say MALPRACTICE???)

I cancelled my appointment with Dr. Isaacs, and transferred my paperwork to the other doctor. A month later I went in with my husband to complain, and after Palmer's personal review of what happened, his office manager promised to refund the $1,050 ?? minus a reasonable amount for their "prep work" so far. (Which according to other, REPUTABLE dentists, whould not be more than $200.)

That was three years ago, and I've been running after my money since. Their office manager is very rude and unhelpful and they are unwilling to refund the money for which they never worked!

I paid these people for a procedure that was never performed, but they feel entitled to the money anyway. Just imagine what they are capable of!

STAY AWAY!!! BEWARE!!! These are SCAM ARTISTS!

They are very thorough with the teeth and the office is very clean and modern looking. I have referred a lot of people here. I think they overcharge though. Make sure and ask for the "covered fillings". Parking is free in the back.
