I have gone to Spence Family Dentistry for over two years. I have mixed feelings regarding the level of care they provide. On one hand, the staff is very helpful and friendly and Dr. Spence is a very nice man; however, on the other hand...I had to have a root canal done there and after I did, I knew it didn't feel right. I went back in several times complaining of it still having pain to which he always said let's wait and see. Finally, the pain was unbearable and he sent me to a specialist who had to redo the root canal. I also had a crown on this tooth and when he did the initial root canal he had to drill through it. To fill it, he used something that was supposed to blend in with the rest of the tooth but it didn't. It was a big, gray spot on my tooth. When I complained that it looked bad, he said there was nothing he could do about it and that my insurance wouldn't pay for a new crown. After having to have the second root canal to fix the first, I had to have a new crown. In the process of putting it on, Dr. Spence cut a chunk out of my tongue! These could be isolated incidents; however, I won't be going back.
