Paul is a terrific marriage counselor. My husband and I have learned so much and our marriage is so much better thanks to Paul. He referred us to several John Gottman books for homework, which we loved, and in our sessions helped us work on implementing them. His ongoing training with Gottman institute puts him on the cutting edge of marriage therapy. We have told 2 other couples about him who were headed for divorce also. It is great to see our friends get better & happier too.

My wife and I went to Paul for marital counseling. At first, I thought I would like him. In fact, I did think he was intelligent, friendly, and engaging. He was inquisitive and tried to get at the root of the problem. But, over time, I realized that his main focus was not to heal the marriage, but instead to heal each individual. Since my wife saw him separately, her healing ended up being the main focus.

Since I was the person who was betrayed, this ended up being a major problem for me. I endured all of the discussion about how I contributed to the situation that made my wife feel she needed to find love somewhere else, patiently waiting for Paul to give us ideas on how to revive our damaged marriage. It never happened. I love my wife and stuck with our counseling with Paul for 5 months.

We heard of another woman counselor from some friends and I finally insisted on seeing her. We received more insight into how to heal our marriage in 1 session than we did in 5 months of seeing Paul. Even my wife, who was not as concerned about the way Paul counseled, admitted this to be true. She gives us tools to improve our communication and insights into how our actions affects the other spouse. Wow! This is obviously how a good marriage counselor should be and how Paul is not.

We have continued to see this new counselor and to make progress. My wife still sees Paul and every time after her session we end up getting in huge fights. My real belief is that Paul doesn't really care about the marriage. He's concerned with the healing of the individual even to the detriment of the marriage. I don't claim he is malicious in this view, only that it's the way it ends up being.

My recommendation would be to stay away from Paul for any marriage counseling. Maybe, only for individual counseling.

I tried a few therapists before I met Paul. I just didn't have that connection that I got with Paul. He is very personable, knowlegeable. Helped me save my life - helped me understand why I did things the way I did and why I made decisions throughout my life. I always felt better when I left his office. I looked forward to our sessions.

He is very effective in helping with any issue that I had which were many. Relationship, emotional, family - you name it he had a way for me to look at it in a different way and a way to deal with it in a healthier manner the next time it came up.

I finally graduated and he has sent me out on my own. When ever I find myself struggling I think back on our sessions and try and figure out what would Paul say to me or have me try and it has really helped. I tell my friends and family that I am a big girl now!!

Seriously - Paul is a great therapist. No question - choose him. I have reccomended him and will continue to do so.

I was a bit nervous about seeing a male counselor, but he put me totally at ease and made me feel very comfortable without ever babying me. The balance between being comforting and making me face (sometimes) uncomfortable facts is something he does quite well, and I am very grateful for the ideas he gave me that helped me find the courage to get through that tough time.

Paul is such an effective therapist. His strength is his ability to truly listen.

He's done his homework and has many methods he uses to help you deal with your situations. His methods are so useful and practical.

Paul's especially good at helping women deal with male issues. He's helped me and all that I've sent to him for that issue.

He's great with learning disabilities as well. Paul works well with all ages. Paul helped my son deal with difficult issues he faced with his learning problems and ADD.

The thing that I love about Paul's way of communicating is it's kind and when appropriate includes humor. He's helped me see life in a healthier way. Humor does heal.

Paul has helped me put loving thoughts about myself in my head. He's taught me to do kind things for myself instead of beat myself up when I feel that I'm not living up to my standards.

I highly recommend Paul if you're looking for some effective therapy. He gets an A plus from me. He's definitely a "good deal".

Mr. Croft is an excellent therapist, with many years of experience under his belt. This means that he has a number of different ways to address issues, and is not afraid to interact openly with patients. He is a committed professional, dedicated to helping individuals and families through the toughest of times, and is not afraid to refer to other resources or services that might be indicated. He has a positive outlook and a strong sense of humor that allows him to fully engage clients in a direct and honest way. I have known him for several years and have never known him to not put the needs of patients above all else. Truly one of the best!

I have been to 5 different therapists over the years and he was by FAR the most helpful. Very practical, methodical and results oriented, instead of trying to keep me in therapy for 10 years.
