I, too, found Dr. Lee to be over-eager to sell the higher-priced services that his office offers. He seemed more interested in his financial gain than in the care of my health.

I brush and floss daily, so I expected a routine cleaning to be a fairly straightforward request. However, after the initial visit I was told that a cleaning wasn't possible without a debridement, and I had the feeling that he was insisting on the debridement because my insurance partially covers one of those treatments in my lifetime. Without the debridement I wasn't allowed to return. It's too bad I wasted one of my covered dental visits to his office!

I'm also leery of dentists who purposely refuse a cleaning on the first visit so that they can schedule a second visit and bill your insurance for more money. As far as I can tell, this is standard operating procedure at Dr. Lee's.

On the bright side, I think he has great equipment, a nice office, and he and his staff are friendly.

I had been through several dentists in the area with stories of of one pulling a baby tooth and reporting it as a permanent for billing, one putting too much floride sealant on my daughter's teeth causing cavities underneath, one dentist refused to repair or cap one of my teeth and said it had to be pulled. Dr. Lee saved many of my teeth with his hi tech equipment and expert knowledge. He was able to fill, with resin, six teeth others wanted to cap and with his hi tech state of the art technology and cap the one to be pulled. His costs aren't any higher than any other dentist. He is licensed in cosmetic dentistry, a free-be as he doesn't charge more for it. The one he capped was actually one another dentist insisted had to be pulled because it was broken below the gumline. His hygienist is professional, kind and patient. We are fortunate to have such talented staff in our area. I only wish they would continue their past practice of giving a discount for payments rendered at time of service and a discount to those without dental coverage.

I went to their office for a regular cleaning and I was aware that they usually would do a comprehensive exam at patient's first visit. But what annoyed me is throughout the whole visit, I had mentioned about the regular cleaning that I expected to get done, only to know at the end of the comprehensive exam that they don't do that at the same visit, which means I had to do it at a second visit. Well, shouldn??t they make it clear when I called for appointment?

The doctor, without looking at my teeth at all, started the conversation about the potential problems and if I was willing to take various types of X-ray, teeth guard etc things and stressed many times that people who are not prepared to do those are not the best patients for their office. I found it very obnoxious as he even hadn't looked at my teeth yet, and why didn??t they claim what are their best patients base at the time I scheduled the regular cleaning appointment? If they had informed me that doing a regular cleaning would take 2 visits, and they are not interested in patients doing regular cleaning, I would not set up the appointment at all. Actually before the doctor started exam, his staff questioned about what are my concerns, I was puzzled and stressed to her that I was there to do regular cleaning, any problem if doctor find I'm willing to take his opinion. Even until then, she would not even point out to me that they would not get the regular cleaning done. They just wanted to rush a comprehensive exam and then talk me into doing other higher cost procedures.

The doctor is very annoying, his eagerness for high cost procedures is so obvious. Can??t he look at the teeth first? At least if he had started that way, it would have made him look more professional. I was basically taking half day off my work just to get to know a second visit is needed for a cleaning. Even if my insurance company covers all, I wouldn??t want to deal with them, they are not honest people.

An bright, calm and quiet area is what most people want when they go to get their teeth worked on and that is what you get. Dr. Paul Lee himself is easy to talk to, and he works on your teeth and gums gently. He has a courteous and helpful staff with him as well. The waiting room area has a TV and some toys and magazines to keep minds busy and you get what you pay for-- a great experience that doesn't take up the whole day.

PROS: Everything
CONS:
