I was initially scared of going to the dental appointment, but Dr. Peng was extremely helpful. She explained the procedure thoroughly before she went through with it, and the process itself wasn't uncomfortable, even for my back teeth. Highly recommend her.

Dr. Peng overall is a nice person BUT you will have no clue how her inner mind is! She might be very professional with her job and really nice to her patients if they accept her suggestions. Once patients start disagreeing with her suggestions or asking too many questions, her response will be exactly like this: "If you don't trust me, you can go and ask other dentists. You can even change the dentist. I don't get mad." Then, she would go to her receptionist and tell her that she doesn't need that kind of patient. She says the same thing when her patient reschedules the appointment more than 2 times. She always wears that long face and impatient tone and as a dentist, I don't think it's an suitable expression to put on her face. I totally agree with three other comments below that her receptionist and assistance faces look totally stoned!!! They always look at Dr. Peng whatsoever they do. The atmosphere inside the dentistry is not very nice overall. Friendlier, happier and more independent atmosphere is a MUST to enjoy your service at any clinic or dental offices. She's good at her stuff but yet, I am sorry, you don't qualify to become a dentist with that attitude.

I don't intend to take her down. If you don't mind dealing with that kind of atmosphere, you are more than welcome to pay a visit there. She's perfect at her job, I trust her work but not her sweet mouth!

1. She is a good qualified dentist technically.
2. She is not a good manager, I agree with what Lan S. wrote, the atmosphere in her clinic is kind of odd, the receptionist and assistant are afraid of Dr. Peng, although the music is joyful, but you can not see happy faces around, sometimes as a patient, you feel the pressure too, if you are late by several minutes, Dr. Peng won't be happy, if you re-schedule your appointment more than once, Dr. Peng won't be happy, if you use more than one cup, one tissue to clean up in the end, Dr. Peng won't be happy, if you decided to not do anything about some problematic teeth, Dr. Peng won't be happy, etc....
Any way, My feeling is that going there, you are kind of going to the interview for your first job, you need to pay more attention to what you do or say, a little bit intense, especially DON'T BE LATE, Dr. Peng doesn't like it.
3. As to Pei-Ta C, you may want to be fair, other-wise, sounds like a Tuo (Chinese saying, not sure how to say it in English), or a comercial, not like a review. All I can say to you is that as a good dental clinic, it is much more than just a good dentist.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Peng for over 5 years, and she the best, period.

However, if you are one of the following type of individual, do not go, you don't deserve her service, and you impact our experience as well:

- frequently canceling appointments without sufficient notice
- not on-time with your appointments
- complaint about the DVD collection at a clinic (although I think the collection is pretty current)

Dr. Peng is one of the most demanding, meticulous, perfectionist in the profession; there are plenty of superficially-friendly but incompetent folks out there, but if you ask me, I want my dentist to be great at her profession, I am not there to make friends (although over the years, we've become good friends).

Regarding Jason's wife's situation, don't blame it on Dr. Peng (btw Jason, its disrespecting to not address her as a doctor, she deserve the Dr. title). I personally had a similar situation where one side of my tongue was slightly numb for a 3 months after a procedure. It turns out that my body and nerves system are not as receptive to anesthesia as a typical individual (although I don't smoke or drink), and extra shots of Novocain were required, and the extra shots and drugs traumatize the nerves a bit. But over the period of a couple months, the nerves will heal it self and the slight numbness went away.

This immunity to anethesia also happened recently when I had a foot surgery, where I was on a local anesthesia through a spinal tap epidural. Extra epidural and a longer wait period was required before the required numbing effect took place.

The numbness your wife experienced is not malpractice, and it will go away. If anything, I suspect she has similar 'immunity' as I do. So don't blame it on the doctor, its just how the body works.

I've been going to Dr. Peng for a while now. She's always been very professional and informative. Whenever there are multiple things that needs to be done, she's always prioritize what's most important and let me figure out what I can do with my limited budget. She will then give me a reminder call few month down the road for other things that need to take care of. This always makes me feel comfortable since I can't always shell out that much money at once. I've been to dentists who would say it's absolutely necessary for me to do EVERYTHING and have to pay an arm and a leg for it (you know, the same experience as a auto mechanic). But, not with Dr. Peng. I have referred several friends and co-workers to Dr. Peng and I have heard nothing but good things from them.

A good dentist is hard to find and a great dentist is even harder to come by. Dr. Peng in my opinion is one of the best. I was not happy with my previous dentist, who charged a lot of money for dental work and never was done to my satisfaction. I kept going to him because I didn't know better. The final draw was his dumb billing person who couldn??t keep track of what was already paid and made me waste time on phone calls for clearing up the billing. I needed a better dentist who can make my teeth look beautiful and can manage his/her office/billing.

When I first came to Dr. Peng, I needed my cleaning done and a few old silver fillings replaced. I love the fact that Dr. Peng does the cleaning her self, not a dental hygienist. She is a perfectionist and she will make sure it's done right. I am also very satisfied with my fillings. They are as white as my teeth and I never had any problems.

Dr. Peng was the first dentist who noticed my bottom wisdom teeth were impacting my other teeth and recommended getting them removed. She referred me to a great oral surgeon. A few days before my procedure, Dr. Peng found out that I was having my wisdom teeth removed on her off day; she offered to show up on my procedure, which was very cool. I was very surprised that any dentist would do that. Score! :-) Needless to say my wisdom teeth removal was smooth and the recovery was no problem.

Through the years of seeing Dr. Peng, I've had old fillings replaced, a root cannel (due to an old large cavity) and an old crown replaced. I've never had any problems with numbing and I am happy with the treatments I received. I also got my mother to see Dr. Peng and she had her crown replaced and my mom loves it! I??ve never have any problems with Dr. Peng's billing and everything was done professionally.

Now, I see Dr. Peng twice a year for scheduled cleaning. She does a great job of keeping my teeth looking great and healthy. I highly recommend her to my friends, family and coworkers.

Ms. Peng doesn't deserve any star!

When my wife went to Peng's to fill the cavity. Ms. Peng applied anesthesia wrongly causing my wife's tongue numb for several weeks. When my wife contacted Ms. Peng for her malpractice, Ms. Peng just said it would take months or years to recover as she found out from her last patient. We cannot believe such inexperienced DDS can perform her profession.

Please stay away from her if you can.

Place is stinking clean the smell of cheap chlorine. No privacy between the 3 stations available. DVDs are old. Everytime I go is a new receptionist, and new dental assistant. You can hear her yelling to all employees in front of customers. She micromanages everything up to the wazoo. Wait is average 30mins-1hr. Very hard to cancel and find a spot for another appointment, as long as a month. Have changed dentist since.

This dentist really stinks. She is always yelling at people. I think she hates to treat people and only in it for the money. She tried to fix two of my teeth but it only last two month. I would be better off is she left they alone.

Best dentist I've ever had! She's very gentle with cleaning/cavities and is very thorough. She's also thoughtful in terms of saving you money depending on how your insurance is set up. We've referred several friends/family to her and they all thing she's wonderful.
