.

I had cosmetic/ functional rhinolplasty/ septoplasty/ turbinectomy performed by Dr. Philip Schoenfeld, M.D. I had requested that he be conservative in his surgical approach. He arrived the morning of the surgery looking disheveled. The surgical recovery was incredibly painful. My roommate had to take care of me for the next two days. The dressings were not applied well and one even fell right off. The middle cartilage of my nose began to sag within days of my surgery. In addition to looking bad, I now have difficulty breathing. I have also been left with a bony spur near the top of my nose. Philip Schoenfeld also dropped liquid adhesive into my eye which required an emergency visit to an eye specialist. Dr. Schoenfeld's other work has required three revisions, and I still have recurring pain. Dr. Schoenfeld informed me that the bony spur in his nose could be corrected for a further surgical fee, and that the impaired breathing is "normal". I use medical oxygen at night to overcome the post-surgical breathing difficulties. I won't make the mistake of letting him touch me again.
