What every you do make sure you have a flexible schedule. They love to call a week in advance to change a schedule you made a month ago then a few days before they will change your appointment and then the day before they will change your appointment again, and if you cant make it they charge you for missing YOUR appointment.

They should pay you every time they reschedule Your appointment.
If I got $30 every time they rescheduled my appointment I'd have a few hundred dollars.

Not to mention on day they rescheduled my appointment, I was a few minutes late for my ultrasound they said it was imposable to fit me in, then after complaining they managed to fit me in as a courtesy, I saw their courtesy when the bill arrived for over $300 for a 5 minute ultrasound, when it was to be a 20 week insurance covered bill.

Stay far away!!!

I am using OBGYN Midwives for my second pregnancy now. They are wonderful. During my 1st. pregnancy I became very sick with a condition called preeaclamsia. While my birth became a "high risk pregnancy" and the doctors did need to get involved. They introduced themselves in a way that was comforting & really spent time with me so that I felt comftable with new people taking care of me during my last few weeks. although I did need to have doctors present at my birth, I continued to see midwives a few times a week until I delivered. Even though a doctor did need to be present for the delivery of my baby boy, Graham (who is no longer with the practice) stayed by my side and delivered my son. My expierence with Obgyn associates has always been a possitive one. I could never see using a different practice.

During my pregnancy with my twins, Dr. Gardner, Dr. Gelber, & Dr. Bates took really wonderful care of me. (Actually Dr. Bates delivered my sister!) I had developed a severe case of pre-eclamsia early on in the pregnancy and they were 10 steps ahead of it at all times. They continued the awesome care through the pregnancy, C-Section, and follow up. I have been really happy with their service and would recommend them and their office staff to anyone. I have heard Dr. Jump doesn't have very good bedside manner, but everyone else there is great.

I was coming in almost every two weeks due to fertility issues and was seeing Lorene Jump. Even with coming that often, she couldn't remember me or my situation. This was very disappointing, it didn't make me feel comfortable having to remind her about things she said in the previous visit about courses of treatment or having to ask something more than once. She even missed an appointment after an ultrasound!! I would not recommend this place.

I recently made an appointment with Ob/Gyn Associates of Ithaca - scheduling the appointment included giving my health insurance information and a few other items, mainly contact info., birth date, etc. I received the medical history forms in the mail, filled them out and waited for my appointment. The day of my appointment I used my lunch break from work to drive the 20 minutes to the office only to discover that they canceled their participation with the state insurance provider. I called the insurance company and explained the frustrating situation. Using my personal cell phone, the secretary spoke with my insurance agent. The insurance agent then assured me that they would still cover me because they have not updated their records to reflect the canceled participation. Great news, I thought, until the secretary told me that I missed my appointment by 25 minutes - time that included my wait when I first arrived and checked in. This was terrible service! My insurance provider was understanding and cooperative, but the Ob/Gyn Office was not at all!! The secretary used my phone and then screwed me over! I do NOT recommend this practice!

I like this practice. While there are many doctors
the feeling isn't impersonal and someone always
has a smile for you. This is also one of the few
obgyn's that I found that will do vaginal ultrasound
and iui's on the weekend. You can have blood
drawn here and they will send it to the lab of
your choice so you only are charged for your
insurance plan's co-pay, not out of network costs.

This group comprises a number of skilled physicians. I can especially recommend Drs. Guiry and Milner. For some, the fact that Ob Gyn Associates partners with a midwives' group will be a key factor in choosing this group for care. For others, the convenience of having an in-house lab ready to take care of your bloodwork may be an important factor. The waiting area is very child-friendly, perhaps too child-oriented for the comfort of infertile or childfree-by-choice clientele. Staff are professional and friendly.
