I been waiting since March to receive a free pair glasses, here it is June. On 2 visits I received the same eye exams, the last one my eye was scratched and burning, I also left the office with vision so blurred and eyes running, I was

We go here because out insurance is covered by the DR's here, but otherwise wouldn't go otherwise because I am still waiting 2 months later for my contact lens order! And to make matters worse, I am the one that has to call and hound them...no courtesy calls to update you on the situation!

That's all I wanted. Went here to obtain contacts for the first time for my twins. Ya'd think the title Manager comes with a tad bit of knowledge on what insurance pays.... NO not for this place. I had to inform him of the benefits. They provided services THEN tell me after the fact I am not covered due to a technicality. They charged me $79 for contact lens "fitting".... YET I don't get the contacts because they don't cover Toric lens (stigmatism) Well shoot ya'd think they would inform you of that BEFORE you agree to service, oh yea..that's the technicality.
NOW they requested lens from the insurance and billed them when I never recieved them. So not only did I have to pay for a service I was unaware of, I can't even get my re-embursement back from the insurance company because they show they provided them to this place. WHAT B.S. not to mention he was totally clueless I spent so much time waiting for him to submit the information needed just to get bills and get my other childs contacts. I will never return here.
The optometrist Tamika Williams, O.D. was friendly, knowledgeable and had a wonderful bedside manner really connected with the kids. If she wants to stay in this business she really needs to find another job. DON'T GO HERE

Had to wait 2 weeks for contacts when the place next door had them in stock same day. Got my glasses also after waiting 2 weeks and the prescription is wrong and I can't see out of them, plus they added a tint that I didn't ask for.
My husband has been waiting for 3 weeks for his glasses.
DON'T GO HERE......EVER!!!!! Would give them a minus rating if I could, but one star is the lowest this review system will allow.

I have been wearing glasses for 28 years. I've never received such lousy service, such a runaround, and so much b.s. from the staff. They figured the insurance wrong, "Ooops, you owe us an extra $140!" The lenses that they ground to fit my existing frames don't fit the frames (there are gaps around the edges in several places). The bullying technician guy also managed to bend my frames well out of their original shape (he kept saying that he had "straightened" them) so that they no longer fit my face and then he REFUSED to adjust them. Now the coating on the lenses is peeling off after only 14 months - and I've been very careful to only use the special glasses cleaning cloth on them. I did not see the Dr. so I cannot comment on how she is, but the rest of the staff doesn't know what they are doing, either with glasses or with customer service. I wouldn't give these people any of your time or money.

I have never written an online review about anything, but I just had to say something about this place. It is absolutely ridiculous. I can attest to almost all of the negative comments on this website: a 1.5 hour wait for my appointment which the manager unprofessionally blamed on another customer, unreturned phone calls about my glasses and contacts which were promised in 2 weeks but took one month (glasses) and two months (contacts) to arrive, the idiotic manager constantly trying to upsell and make it look like you're getting a "deal"... It is almost laughable how bad the service is here. I agree that the doctor is very personable and professional, and I enjoyed meeting with her, but I don't think she has anything to do with the merchandise side of things. Avoid this place at all costs!

Dr. Washington is great. She should work somewhere else so she is not associated with such a preposterously incompetent business. While the eye exam service was fine, the service at the desk was a skit from a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode...actually worse, because there was nothing funny about it. The name of the business is ironic, considering that outside of the exam itself, there's nothing professional about this place. I waited two months for my contacts. They told me they were "having trouble with their vendors". So get new vendors, I don't care. Don't pass your problems along to your costumers. The only reason I even got my contacts was because I kept calling, many times during which I was put on hold for so long I ended up hanging up the phone. When I did pick them up I was in a hurry and didn't realize they'd only given me half my order. This is without any question the worst service I've ever received anywhere. I will never go again. It boggles my mind that this place stays in business.

I only order glasses/contacts from this place, so I know nothing of the doctor or what checkups are like, but the desk people are infuriatingly slow. Every time I call I'm put on hold, and picking out glasses is a nightmare. You have to stand behind a glass desk while someone chooses glasses for you, because god forbid you take your time and choose your own glasses with your own hands. As a result, my first visit--which should have lasted maybe 15 minutes (it was, after all, not an exam, but just to order and choose a pair of glasses)--wound up spending an hour and a half of my time. Plus, they tend to be chatterboxes. I didn't want to hear anything about their high school experience, etc. I wanted to get out of there.

The clinical skills and professionalism of the optometrist were fine and left nothing to be desired. It felt like a standard office visit for the exam.

The service after the exam, however, was grossly lacking. In particular, the order that was placed for my contacts was either not entered correctly, was lost, or was ignored for roughly 2 months after my exam. This was despite a number of assurances by phone from the office manager that the order "was completed and should be here soon". After about the sixth "it will be here soon" from the manager over the phone, I finally personally went back to the office and talked to him face to face. Magically, the contacts arrived about a week later (2 1/2 months after the exam).

Unfortunately, the manager had not entered the order in correctly after all this time and only half of the contacts came to the office. Now, as of today, I am still waiting for the other half of the order from approximately 5 (yes FIVE) months ago. Apparently, the office has "problems with the vendors" and are having a hard time getting my order filled. This would have been a good thing to know FIVE months ago, so that I could have simply bought them over the internet after the exam.

The contacts in question are not a special type or style and are readily available through multiple internet sites that I could buy from today and have within 2 weeks. The problem is that my vision insurance (which I chip in extra each week for) has already been charged for the contacts 5 months ago at the time they were ordered. I would have gladly just canceled my order long ago and never gone back, but this office has already been paid and simply has not given me what I paid for.

I am fairly certain that had I not been persistent in calling the manager over these past months, that the office would have simply kept my money and my order would never have been filled. Overall, one of the most frustrating consumer experiences that I have ever had.

Dr. Washington is an excellent doctor. Her clinical skills are phenominal. Her chairside manner is warm and friendly. I would highly recommend her as well as the staff.

I really like Dr. Washington. She really understands what she's doing and makes me feel comfortable. Beware of the office manager. He's a fast talker and you may think you're getting a deal when you're really not. Overall it's a great place for contacts and glasses.
