After graduating from McGill University's Faculty of Medicine, I attended the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Canada for a residency in Internal Medicine. I then traveled to San Diego, California to complete a Fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine at the University of California, San Diego. Upon graduation I became Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine. I joined the Department of Pulmonary Medicine at UCSD and was on the Faculty as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at University Hospital and the Veteran's Administration Hospital in La Jolla. In 1981 I went into private practice at Scripps Memorial Hospitals in La Jolla and Encinitas providing care for patients with general pulmonary diseases as well as those less fortunate patients who resided in the intensive care unit. In 2007 I opened my current facility on the campus of Scripps Memorial Hospital in Encinitas, CA.
