It seems hard to find a good dentist these days, and I have been very pleased with Dr. Morgan's office the past few years I have been a patient there. I am particularly fond of Karen, the dental hygienist --she is great! Very kind and attentive and always has helpful tips and advice to offer. I recommend this dental practice.

I went to see Dr Morgan at Towne lake Family Dentistry because a rear (wisdom) tooth cracked after biting down on small piece of bone and I was experiencing a lot of pain. Dr Morgan said it would cost $1,800 to repair and place a crown on the tooth. I told Dr Morgan that I did not have $1,800 and I asked if I could just have the tooth pulled. Dr Morgan said the tooth was a good tooth; he did not want to pull it and gave me a credit application to finance his fees. Dr Morgan drilled, filled and placed a crown on the tooth, but weeks after the procedure, my tooth was still in a lot of pain. Dr Morgan said that it would take about 21 days for the tooth to heal because the tooth would have to reattach to the jawbone. Dr Morgan told me that I should schedule another appointment to have my teeth cleaned also and he instructed the girl at the front desk to call me back in a few weeks to schedule an appointment to have my teeth cleaned.

I have six crowns in my mouth, so, I am no novice to dental work, but I have never wasted my time getting a cap or crown without getting a root canal at the same time, but I have always had insurance and paid less than half of the $1,800 charged by Dr Morgan. I naively believed Dr Morgan when he told me that the tooth was good, I should not have it pulled and I do not need a root canal. It has been over six months now and my tooth still hurts. I have been back three times to have the tooth adjusted and the last time I was there, Dr Morgan stretched the nornal recovery period from the original 21 days to 6 months.

While scheduling my last visit because my tooth still hurt, I told the receptionist that I wanted to go ahead and have my teeth cleaned. Dr Morgan preformed his third adjustment to my tooth and x-rayed my mouth. After the x-rays were completed, I was told that Dr Morgan??s fees for his examination and the x-rays would be $264 before I saw the Hygienist to have my teeth cleaned. The Hygienist then gave me an estimate of $1,600 to have my teeth cleaned. At that point, I ripped my bib off, paid my $264 for the x-ray that I cannot use and told them I would never be back because they charged me $264 for x-rays I did not ask for and they had no intention of cleaning my teeth, which I was there for, until I paid another $1600.

The tooth that Dr Morgan charged $1,800 to repair still hurts to the point that I want to go out to the garage, grab a pair of pliers and rip the tooth out, but I know that I will only pull the crown off. I have spent over $2,000 at Towne Lake Family Dentistry and have received nothing but a tooth that still constantly hurts and useless x-rays. Now I need to find another dentist and start over. This time I will insist that the Dentist simply pull the tooth and the Hygienist simply clean my teeth which should take less than 30 minutes.
