I really like the doctors. Dr. Scarff has been wonderful and is willing to answer any question I have. I have delivered 2 children with them. Dr. Scarff wasn't on call for when I delivered, however he came in for my first birth because the baby was in distress. He assisted Dr. Glassman. With my second, he explained why he wasn't able to come in. and this time Dr. Kramer delivered my second. I have never nurses are wonderful and helpful. The office staff is mediocare. I really like Dr. Scarff and am afraid of looking for a new Dr. if I move away.

Pros: great doctors willing to listen

.

I have been going to Dr. Scarff for 17 years. He could not be there when my son was born but Dr. Kramer delivered him C-section after 14 hours in labor. Dr. Kramer was very good I was scared with it being my first and wanted Dr. Scarff but was told he had a medical procedure done and Dr. Kramer came and talked with me until I was calm. I had a scheduled C-section for my daughter three years later which Dr. Scarff performed and was so funny during the procedure. I had asked about having my husband fixed because I heard it was easier on guys than girl's and he said he would just tie my tubes when my daughter was born because he was already in there. Needless to say my husband LOVES him!! He also checked with me before he started the C-section and said last chance do you still want you tubes tied and I told him yes as long as it was a girl, if it was a boy don't tough them. So as he was doing the procedure he was saying OH God the pressure, it's gotta be a girl. With my son I was considered high risk and they got a new toy in the office (the ultrasound machine) so we had lots of fun with that too. I usually schedule my appts late in the day. Even though the wait is long he doesn't rush you when it your turn. He will listen and answer any questions you have. He also tries to talk to you about anything to get your mind off the exam. When I skipped a year or so due to the fact that I didn't have ins. he scolded me then gave me a year's worth of birth control pills. He is also the one who noticed my thyroid was enlarged and had tests done to find Hashimoto's. I had tripled my size in a year and no one else had any tests done.

Pros: Excellent Bedside Manner

Cons: Long wait time

Went to Dr. Kramer first with pain on the left side and was told I needed to have my left ovary removed. Went for the follow up appointment after the surgery to find out that they did not remove the ovary and did not have an excuse as to why I even had the proceedure. After that changed to Dr. Scarff as regular Dr. said he was good. Went to him while they were on Mt. Vista and did not have any problems. When that office closed had to go to the main office and was treated so badly by the office staff that I was not sure as to why they still had a job there. Two more visits and Dr. Scarff was so rude to me along with the staff that I decided to dump them all together and have not returned. A coworker said that she was going there for her pregnancy visits and had a terrible time. That the office staff was rude and the billing department caused them a great amount of grief. We traded horror stories and she is no longer going there and has a different doctor. My advice is that the entire office be shipped to Iraq and practice over there. Maybe they will appreciate the customers that pay their wage over here a little more.

Horrible office staff and management. Billing was not helpful at all there are nicer areas to go then this office. This office really needs to take classes on customer service.

Pros: Nice Doctor

Cons: Horrible Staff

My delievery with Doctor Scarff was one of the worst experiences of my life, same with the anesthesiologist. Its way to long and makes me way to upset to get into detail. The office is horrible. They NEVER do there job, expecially in the billing department.. Always rude, always have excuses, and always so cold in nature. Please go somewhere else. Dont suffer like I did. This has got to be the worst office staff I have ever met.

Pros: parking

Cons: everything else

My sister, my cousin's and a lot of other people that I know have gone to Dr. Scarff because they said that he was the best Doctor around. I went there for my first son and the general staff is horrible. They announced to everyone in the waiting room that I had to make a payment that day, before seeing the doctor, in the amount of like a thousand dollars, so I walked up to the window and asked why I had to pay such a high amount and the woman told me that everyone had to pay a certain amount by the time that they were that far along in their pregnancy. They are not very discrete with their billing nor are they very pleasant. However, Dr. Scarff is a doctor that has a very good bedside manner. I went in for a check up the day before my son was due and the doctor told me that he thought that I should get induced. I asked him if that is what he thought would be best and he told me that it was. So I went in to have my baby at 4A.M. at which time they induced me. Dr. Scarff didn't show up after the nursing staff paged him three times until I was on my last push. The nurse didn't want to deliver the baby, so she told me to hold my legs shut and to quit pushing. Well after I tried for one contraction I told her to forget it, and then the doctor came in the door and got my son just in time.

Pros: Great doctor

Cons: Horrible staff, have to ask for things to be explained

I had been going to see Dr. Scarff for 5 years. He was always friendly and had wonderful bedside manner. I delivered a healthy baby girl in 2002 after seeing Scarff. On the day of delivery, he was nowhere to be found and I was delivered by a horrible woman I had never met or heard of. I still went back to see Scarff, just because he made me feel so comfortable. In 2005 I was pregnant with my 2nd child, a boy. I was due on the 18th of August, but the baby didn't come, so Dr. Scarff recommended induction. I wasn't quite 41 weeks when the Dr. had me go to the hospital on the 25th of August. He failed to explain any of the procedure or risks associated with it. He didn't even have me sign anything okaying the procedure. 2 minutes after given Pitocin, a name brand of oxytocin, my baby went into fetal distress. I ended up with an emergency c-section that was terrifying. The induction almost cost my son his life and Dr. Scarff didn't even show till the next day, milkshake in hand. My son nearly died, I spent 3 long weeks on bed rest and more recently I miscarried due to the scar tissue caused by the c-section. I went to see Dr. Scarff after miscarrying recently and he refused to see me. His staff have always been horrid, but I had ignored it, because he was my Doctor, not them. The wait is always horrid in his office and the office is always warm instead of cold which isn't good in preventing infection. I will never go to see Dr. Scarff again, even if he begged me to come back. Stay away from this office, it just isn't worth it.

Pros: Dr. Scarff has wonderful bedside manner.

Cons: Bad staff, long waits, warm rooms and he doesn't give you all the info you need to make a good decision.

had an appointment to see Dr. Glassman I got there on time. but at one point one of the lady in the office came to the front desk and she said I was supposed to be there earlier. Again I was not late.. As I was trying to reason her, she refused to listen and she said I have to reschedule. I agreed, but then she changed her mind and she said I have to leave the office now. she made a comment and said she doesn't want me there as a patient. She went on to add that the Dr. said he will not have me as a patient either. I was trying to understand what was happening because I have never heard this in my whole life that a patient in pain is turned away by a Dr. This is not ethical. The Dr. and the staff should be in the business to treat and save people lives, but not at this office. Before my insistance to understand why they were doing this . They threatened to call the police on me. if I don't vacate the office. I already knew that the office has a very bad reputation because my friend experienced something similar and she warned me, But I was so much in pain that I wanted to see an ob/gyn right way; so I went anyway thinking things will turn well for me. Unfortunately they didn't.
I do not recommend this office to anybody. The staff there is so unhappy with their own lives that they vent their misery on patients. Stay away from those negative vibes
