We moved our kids to Dr. Cochran from another pediatrician. She was very informed - surprised that my teenaged sons had had the HPV vaccine - but not Hep A. I had demanded the HPV vaccine from our previous pediatrician who would not recommend it for males (even though they are half the problem). But I did not know to ask about the Hep A and was horrified to find that it prevented a common virus at risk to travelers (we travel all over with our kids) and that the vaccine is now required for travel to some foreign countries.
Dr. Cochran was very good with my 2 teenaged sons - very informative and down to earth. I understand her practice is closed - but if you can move heaven and earth to get in - I highly recommend her!!

My children were seeing Dr. Timothy Stewart and our wait in the waiting room was always long. Sometimes it took an hour or more past our schedule appointment time to get in. And only after I went to the desk to complain about our wait. Then we'd get into the exam room and wait some more. You can't wait that long with children! Any other time I took them and they were seeing another Dr in the practice we got right back, never waited past 20 minutes to be called back.

Then, once I took my son in for a check up on something, can't recall what for now. But, while there I asked about something my son did a lot. Knowing that I did it too and it's due to my asthma that I do it. So I was concerned he may have mild asthma to like me. I was told by Dr Stewart that it was a tick. Next thing I know I am getting billed for a full office visit cause our insurance doesn't pay for a diagnosis of a tick. It was just something breifly brought up that I had a question about. They had put it down on the paper work that he was diagnosed with a tick and that was all. They never put down what I actually brought him in for which was a recheck. I called and discussed this with the billing Dept. and was told that they can't fraud the insurnace. Which is a whole other issue with me.

Everytime I called with a complaint about what I was billed for I was always accused of trying to defraud my insurnace company. What it came down too was they would find things to bill us for that they knew our insurance wouldn't cover. Some of them I could've called the insurnace comapny about and I am sure they would have told me what to do to get it to go through. They have done that before. But I didn't.
