I recommend Dr. Armstrong of Chiropractic Partners in Cary. Since 2000 I've seen him occasionally for different problems (neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain) at different times (2 to 5 years between problems). He asks good questions, listens well, explains his thinking clearly, delivers treatment gently, and suggests effective preventive measures. He has always helped resolve my problems quickly (a couple weeks to a couple months at most).

I originally saw Dr. Armstrong about 4 years ago for a pinched nerve in my neck and shoulder.

This past December I started having excruciating pain in my left hip, thigh, leg, and foot. I was unable to walk or enjoy most of the things I usually did (bowling, biking, etc.) In late December, after numerous x-rays, oral pain meds, and steroid injections, my primary care physician referred me to an orthopedic surgeon.

The orthopedic surgeon suggested a couple of options -- and MRI and another steroid injection and, if that didn't work, surgery to repair the disk. I specifically asked if I could give Dr. Armstrong a chance before we did anything as drastic as surgery.

The surgeon told me if anyone could fix this problem without surgery, it would probably be Dr. Armstrong. At 3:30 on a Monday afternoon I called Dr. Armstrong's office. They apologized that they couldn't see me that afternoon and were able to schedule me for the next morning.

That was on January 4th. Today is March 24th. I'm able to walk, bowl, bike. I still have some slight pain; however, that's to be expected for a while. The good thing is that there is absolutely no need for surgery at this time.

I might add that I have NEVER been treated rudely by anyone in the office -- either on the phone on in person. There have been several occasions where I've had to change an appointment without much notice and they've always been most accommodating.

I would never hestitate to recommend Dr. Armstrong to my friends -- and I have done that on several occasions.

I went to Dr, Richard Armstrong with severe shoulder and arm pain. He treated me on my first visit and than on my second visit he rushed my treatment, The treatment cause my pain to get worse. I went to my third visit and tried to explain to Dr. Armstrong that the last treatment cause me server pain. He didn't seem to care he told me he could recommend another Doctor if I was not happy with him. He did not seem to be concern about how much pain I was still in, so I told him I was leaving. He said to me" don't threaten me", I wasn't threatening him. I was leaving because his last treatment cause me severe pain and he wasn't offering to help me. As I left his treatment room I over heard him say "some patients". He didn't care if he lost a patient. Well he not only lost me as a patient, but he also lost my husband as well. Do you think I would recommend Dr. Armstrong to any one in my family or to any of my friends? NO! I wish I have found the review below before I went to Dr. Armstrong. Now he lost 4 patients, When I talk to other chiropractic patients, yes, I will be telling them to check out Dr. Armstrong's reviews and references. The best way to get business is by word of mouth. I'm printing out these reviews to show people first hand on how Dr. Armstrong treats his patients!
