.

I have had a kidney stone for 7 weeks. I got Dr Augspurger because he was the onsite doctor on the Saturday that I called in. He prescribed meds and told me to come in on Monday which I did. He took an xray and then said he couldn't see a stone and had I passed it? I said no and so he gave me some meds told me it was a 3mm stone and that it would pass. Two weeks later I was in pain again and went in and got another xray. He said he didn't see the stone and that I should have a scopic procedure done which I wasn't informed wouldn't be covered by my insurance and he did it really quickly and said he didn't see a stone and was going to treat it like it was a bladder infection and put me on antibiotics for a week. I called after the week and said I still had pain. He said some stones are invisible on xray and put me on an anti depressant that he said takes care of stones. A week later I was in the emergency room with pain and had a cat scan done. I was told I have a 5mm stone that is almost ready to go into my bladder.
The billing staff was rude when I inquired about the charge for the scopic procedure. I will never go to TUCC again or to Dr Augspurger. This has been a terrible experience and I still have the kidney stone as of right now.

Pros: none

Cons: no bedside manner, inept at kidney stones

Dr. Sakurada rushed my husband's procedure (vasectomy). When problems began almost immediately, he was just too busy to be bothered. His staff is rude and lacking in compassion. The TUCC is way too big with over 17 docs. Their waiting room was always full, we always waited for long periods of time before being seen and even when we were seen, it was a quickie meeting with no time for questions.

Be careful about who you see. Go with smaller clinics, Sakurada's is just out of control and it appears that his clinic is more interested in money to fund their fancy-looking clinic and website. I'd give this place no stars if I could.

Pros: Nice looking clinic?

Cons: Horrible staff, Dr. Sakurada really needs to quit or slow down, endless phone tree when trying to speak to a person.

I was referred to Dr. Sakurada by my PCP. Knowing my primary care doctor, I felt comfortable, but was still very apprehensive about going in to be evaluated. His office staff immediately made me comfortable - especially his nurses who were so understanding and caring. The office was BUSY!, but at no time did I feel rushed and I felt all of my concerns were addressed. When he entered the room, he made me feel completely at ease and I felt he listened and was genuinely concerned about my problems. His bedside manner was unbelievable. I felt he analyzed my symptoms, ran tests and had an answer for me that day. I felt so relieved and so much of my anxiety melted away. Since then, I have referred 2 friends and a colleague, who all have reported similar experiences. I wish there were more doctors like this in colorado.
