I have been going to Dr. Rick for quite sometime, He has always been fantastic. On a recent visit I had to get some fillings and a root canal done. I was very nervous because I heard there can be a lot of pain associated with a root canal. Dr. Rick was just fantastic working with my anxiety. Everything turned out great. Now of course I'm not interested in getting another root canal, but if I did I would trust Dr. Rick to take care of me like he did before

I have been a client of Barfield &Associates since 07, and I love the friendly customer service that I ALWAYS receive whether if it's on the phone or at my appointments. His employees there are always energize and ready to treat you. They always send me notification through the mail or via email, for that main reason I have referred so many people starting from my family and friends and even co-workers. He's the best Dentist in our community and even DFW metroplex. They schedule their appointments according to the work staff that day so you don't have a long hold or wait time. They are kid friendly as well. My son loves going to the dentist now thanks to them because they have spoiled him with giving out toys, tooth brushes, dental floss, and etc. So if or if your not in the area. You must check out Dr. Rick Barfield he put his clients 1st. If I had a 2nd choice in my career path working for him would come next. Thanks for all you do Dr. Rick Barfield and his Associates you guys ROCK!

I have been a patient for 3 years. I have always had a positive experience, until I had to see Rick Barfield on 12/31/10. The girls that do x-rays & cleanings are always nice. The office staff is ok. The Dr. I usually see is wonderful, but Barfield ruined 3 years of happiness with 2 minutes of interaction with him. He is awful! What a miserable person he appears to be. I was told by my hygienist that I would need 2 crowns. He came in and looked at my photos and said something about a root canal. His back was to me & his mask was on, so I asked him what he said? He stood up in front of me and jerked his mask down and proceeded to speak to me very slowly, very pronounced & loudly, as if I had special needs and repeated himself. I guess I really inconvenienced him by not hearing/understanding him. What an unprofessional creature. I will be changing dentist offices immediately! I hope no one chooses them as a new patient, he must have so much business he doesn't have to treat his current patients with any respect.

I went in to have a crown put on, and I had questions about why now all of the sudden they are saying I need a possible root canal. I just had a few questions before they started because I didnt think I was getting a root canal done today. So the dentist walks in and I ask my questions, he says " When you are sitting in that chair ready to be numbed and drilled I dont want any questions"

He was extremely rude... It is a cattle drive in their office and when he schedules a procedure he doesnt want any questions on that day. ( Even though I called the office repeatedly last week trying to get some questions answered beforehand and never got return calls.) The entire protocol of the office staff is rude ( How dare I question him and his staff when he is about to drill into MY mouth???)

He eventually said (rudely) to go to specialists (ortho, endodontists, etc.) and get my questions answered and when I do, get a letter from them stating that they explained it to me. (What is that about??) He cant anwser a simple question?? Seriously??? He said this like I didnt TRUST him so I should get a second opinion. He was SOO rude about it.
I am sooooo sorry I hurt his EGO and wasted his time by asking a few questions beforehand.
Whatever happened to trying to comfort the patient? Not being Put out by having to answer questions! As you can see, I had to rant. I still cant believe that actually happened. What a wasted appt.
I do not recommend Barfield or his office. I think they are in it for the money, not to help people.
