This doctor is in no way the best in Mansfield! He & his colleagues as well as his staff were the coldest & most uncaring medical professionals-(for lack of a better word)- that I have ever come in contact with. The appointment was cold, aloof, and I had the strange feeling that he was not used to dealing with people of my ethnic background. The management office was the worst! Some lady actually kept billing us hundreds of dollars each week even though we were covered and the insurance paid them for what was currently due on top of my co-pay. They actually tried to charge me for a delivery that had not happened yet! To me money is their bottom line & they only want to bring in so-called upscale people! LOL....Don't they know that only the middle class pay? LOL..In short, God blessed me with a fantastic female OBGYN in another area and her entire practice is beyond amazing! I was very blessed to have found her when I did because those other people had me very stressed out for no reason at all! God is good!

My only experience with Dr. Greve, was when my regular doctor was out of town, and I had some light spotting with my pregnancy. He was quite diligent on getting my history since he was not familiar with my case, which I appreciated. A lot of doctors would just tell you to go on bed rest and wait until your doctor is back in town, but he took the time to talk with me.

I evacuated from Houston to Arlington for Hurricane Ike and of course one day later was in labor at Med. Center of Arlington! Dr. Greve came in and made me feel very comfortable throughout what rightly was a very stressful situation is so many ways! It seems like Matlock's office is lacking, but from my brief experience, Dr. Greve was fantastic.

They may know their medicine but they surely do not care about the patients. I had my annual pap - 4 months later when I decided to go on birth control I called the office and was told no because my pap was abnormal! No one explained this and I was told I would get a call back that day. I was terrified and tried calling after I'd waited 3 hours but 'my nurse' was busy- then out, then gone for the day so I was told it would have to wait until Monday to learn what was abnormal. Finally they were very annoyed at having to look but they tell my I had abnormal cells and need another test. I asked why I wasn't notified- and she tells me I should have received a card telling me to call the office! Then when I try to make an appointment - its a month out. I could not believe this. Long story -short- I went to a different OB the following week and it was normal. It was a horrific experience.

I just started going to Dr. Greve this year (2008) and I think he is just wonderful. He delivered our second child and I was very impressed with his care from start to finish with my pregnancy.

Dr. Greve has been my OB/GYN for as long as I have lived in TX (nearly 4 years now) and I would never switch. I think even if I move from the area, I will have to fly in for my annual exam.

He has performed 2 female-related surgeries on me with great results and no complications. Dr. Greve is truly talented and in the right job for him. He is sensitive, loving and genuinely cares for me and my health. He always takes the time to listen to me and answer all my questions thoroughly.

His staff is attentive and tries to return your call as soon as possible for a busy practice. They always take their time with you...they listen and answer all questions to the best of their ability.

Yes, there is sometimes a wait in the lobby and on the phone but this happens because they try to take time with each patient.

I have never felt so uncomfortable and judged by a doctor. I am a little heavier than I should be and I also have a history of eating disorder. I let the nurse know after she commented on my weight then told me my doctor was a weight NAZI and that he would make sure that I did not gain too much weight.I also was not given the choice to have a natural birth he WILL give me something because he does not think that women can have natural birth. It is to hard on him because he has to help them through it!!!! The first time I got in to see him he came in, gave me a VERY painful pap and made light of my eating disorder....If he needed to drop 10 lbs could you help me learn to throw it up?? lol NOT FUNNY. Asked if the iron was messing with my bowl movements... I answered yes a little and he said well you probably have horrible eating habits that why ,so eat better so you don't get fatter. Also, the nurses look down on younger moms. 24 or younger you must be a complete idiot!! I did not like any of the experiences I have had with them and will not go back.

I had been a patient of Dr. Grieves for many years, the service was great. I enjoyed the staff and the overall experience was great. As the years past and the business picked up. The wait time became outrageous, sometimes I waited for an hour to be seen.I had surgery and in that same year my mom past away. I missed a appointment and received a phone call to reschedule and I did. The second appointment, I missed OMGosh, I could not believe that I had.missed my 2nd appointment. I never missed any appointments in all the years that I had been a patient. I was just so stress out and still grieving my mother's death. So I received a phone call from Dr. Grieves nurse, I did not recognize the voice. She advised me that because I missed two appointment that I was going to be dropped as a patient. I could not believe it. I explained to her what was going on, I apologized and told her that I could not reschedule at that time but I would call when I was able. I called back when I was strong enough and I was told that I was no longer a patient. I will never go back to that facility. They did not care about me or my situation. Even after I apologized and explained my situation. Dr. Grieves lost a long time patient, but I am sure he didn't realize that I was gone.

Pros: Dr. Greve was excellent. Both my daughter and I see him now. The staff was kind, efficient and friendly. I've not had a doctor I feel I can trust implicitly since I left Georgia, however, I believe that Dr. Greve might just be one I can. He did not blink when I asked for the HPV vaccine for my daughter, nor when we discussed BC options for her with her. (This was a lovely change of pace from the doctor who refused to discuss either for her due to his religious beliefs. Ironically, we were interested in BC for help with her acne and the HPV vaccine due to cancer history in the family, not for sexual reasons.) Dr. Greve gave us the information, both good and bad for each method and his opinion about what was best but allowed her to make up her own mind about what she was comfortable using. It was great to be treated as a partner in my own care and an adult rather than being dictated to regarding my own health. My daughter felt the same way.

Cons: lots of waiting in the waiting room. It's a busy practice. Also, when you call for an appointment, you are routed to a voice mailbox and not a person, but they do call back quickly. They are very strict on missed appointments. Do not miss your appointment without calling first!

Everyone raves about Matlock OB GYN - I find that if I don't ask questions, no one tells me anything. Each visit is a cattle call.

1/2 way thru my pregnancy, I asked about antidepressants because I had been severely depressed and suicidal at times. I was simply told "no". No inquiries as to why or what was going on - just "no". This is after my medical hx indicated hospitalization for these reasons.

At 37 weeks, my appts started to be made with a different doctor in the practice. Apparently there was a letter sent explaining that my doctor was moving and he was "supposed to tell me". If I hadn't have called - I still wouldn't have known. So now, I have a new doc for the last 3 weeks of my pregnancy and they differ in opinion. First doc would give meds for sciatica, second one won't. First doc discussed induction at a certain date - so who knows what I should expect now. Last appt- I had blood and glucose in my urine according to the lab - no one said a thing about it. I wonder if they even noticed?

Any time I call with issues- they just tell me to go to the hospital - and we wonder why healthcare expenses are skyrocketing??

Please note that no one else I know has had the same experiences that I have. Everyone seems to rave about them. It has been 16 years since my last pregnancy so perhaps this is as good as it gets in modern OB care now?

I have been a patient here for sixteen years and refuse to go anywhere else. You are treated like a person, not a file or a number. They listen and they are attentive to your needs, and do everything possible to make sure you are happy and comfortable. Dr. Cornwell feels like family to me, and the staff is always so friendly and ready to answer any questions. Highly recommended!

PROS: Patients are treated like people
CONS: a bit of a drive for me.
