Dr. Sivak really listens. He didn't just nod and fill out a prescription, he tried to get to the root of the matter. While listening and helping, he informed and educated us.

I have been seeing Dr Sivak for many yrs and he is great! I am gay and he has never been or shown any discrimination toward me and I have never felt judged by him. He is just kind and sincere I believe.
The first reviewer sounds like a typical angry judgmental "Christian" Fanatic...

Pros: Really listens and does his best to help, understand etc

Cons: He did refer a book that was Christian based to me...

Cannot recommend this psychiatrist. Psychiatrists often feel that they can play "God" with patients and it is dangerous to trust someone who on the surface proclaims to know the word of God when all they are truly seeking is a power/dominant role in the relationship. This is truly dangerous in a patient/therapist relationship. I will no longer trust individuals who talk the talk but don't walk the walk of religious doctrine.
