I was in need of a dentist after my previous one malpracticed on me and terminated me. I interviewed Dr. Keenan's office to ensure that they were not friends with the former dentist (since they practice in same area), and they gave me full assurance that I had nothing to worry about. Well, I was still in the process of trying to find out the specifics of what the other dentist did. Unprompted by me, however, Dr. Keenen offered up an x-ray, pointed to it, and told me that the reason I was in the condition that I was in was because that tooth had a crack in it, and therefore it wasn't due to the former dentist. Dr. Keenan also replaced a crown that was already shortened due to the previous dentist. But rather than making it the right size, or letting me test it before he permanently cemented it, he slapped that sucker on there so fast my head swam. And of course, it was smaller than the previous one. I felt that was just nasty. The only way it made any sense was that he was collaborating with my former dentist (which later I found out he was) to..what... make me look "bad"? But ultimately, after I dumped Keenan I found some honest dental professionals who explained to me truthfully what my condition was, and that it wasn't due to a "cracked tooth" like Keenan so gratuitously volunteered. And I worked out a settlement with the first dentist who malpracticed on me, which would have never happened had I believed Keenan's bag of lies. Not a patient advocate - just another Good Old Boy looking out for his colleague before his patient.
