The thing I appreciate most about Dr. Rathbone is that he lets me choose exactly when and how often I need chiropractic. He doesn't try to pressure me into more sessions (he's the ONLY chiro I've been to that didn't) and he always can get me in quickly.

He doesn't do a lot of unnecessary extras, he gives me exactly as much as I need to take care of whatever problem I am currently having.

Because of his no-pressure approach, I am able to call him immediately for an appt whenever I feel something "slipping". He gets me in, takes care of the problem, and I spend no time in pain or without full range of motion.

I have some damaged disks that need periodic maintenance. Sometimes I go months without incident, sometimes I throw myself out of whack more frequently. Before I found Dr. R, I knew that once the chiropractor got me in to the office, he'd pressure me into having half a dozen sessions before I could bring myself to just say "no more". I also knew that if I just took painkillers and ignored the pain it would go away after a few days to a week, but it would come back worse in about a month. I kept going through these cycles until the pain was bad enough to be disabling, then I'd go in. In this way I felt I was getting my "money's worth" from chiropratic.

I've been going to Dr. R for about four years now, and even when I was working all the way over in Gresham I still would rather make the drive to Aloha than go to some other doctor.

Dr. Rathbone is the first chiropractor that I have gone to that specializes in atlas orthogonal treatment. I'd never experienced that, but after having my neck out for years, after having him adjust it, it does not pop out anymore (well, not on a daily basis like it used to). I am able to maintain my back and neck health with a visit about once a month or every few months depending on how hard I am on myself.

I think this is one of the most effective and competent chiropracters I've ever been to. I went there to get some specialized help with a neck problem at the reccomendation of my Dr. and have found Bob to be very competent in this area of specialization. In addition I have gone in for other occasional aches and pains and he has again been able to contribute to the healing. I never feel pressured to make extra appts to check things and I go only when needed. I have found him to be highly competent, compassionate and educationl. I highly reccomend him.

Pros: they schedule well, I never have long waiting times yet I don't feel rushed.

Cons: parking can ocassionally be tight, not close to the freeway.

Can't say enough good things about Bob. One visit, I was fixed. No coming back 80 times. Wish he was closer to downtown, but for me, worth the drive on the few occasions I have needed him over the last few years.

Pros: proficient, professional
