I sought a new doctor who accepted my new medical insurance, and found Dr. Robert Foster in the Grossmont Hospital area of LaMesa, right across the street from Grossmont Shopping Center. While my medical insurer (Blue Cross/Blue Shield) had the wrong address for Dr. Foster's practice (one he moved away from eight years ago!), his friendly staff corrected me when I called in a panic to say I was at his old address, and were very patient and helpful in helping me to complete "new patient" information.

The best was still to come: Dr. Foster asked me many probing questions to determine my health condition and reasons for my first visit, and listened carefully to my responses. He sent me to two other doctors in the same complex, only a few steps away, to be tested as a standard new-patient procedure, all covered by my very modest co-payment.

Imagine my surprise to receive in the mail less than two days later the results of the tests, and how to best interpret them and maintain good health. Now, THAT is patient service!
