My parent went to see Dr.Barke who put my parent on some eye drops for glaucoma. These eye drops were making the vision very blurred as well as causing bad irritation.Looked as if my parent had been drinking all night. The bottom lid was inflamed and itchy. Was asked if he thought that they might be too strong. He didn't even look up, but instead just kept writing and told my parent to continue with the eye drops. Luckily, we got a 2nd opinion and found that my parent did have an allergy to the eye drops. He does not have a good bedside manner, nor does he take an interest in his patient's eye health. He may be good at operations, but office visits are definitely not good. He does not listen to his patients, is very short in his answers, does not look or act compassionate toward his patients.

He was incredibly rude & condescending to my dying parent. He was belligerant & uncaring. I don't know how he stays in practice with this bedside manner. Shame on you Dr. Barke

I found Dr. Barke when I was interested in obtaining Lasik. After my assessment and qualifying for the surgery, he ensured that the surgery went smoothly as possible and has ensured for my vision to be 20/20 with regular check ups.
