I have been going to Dr. Roth for about 8 yrs. My two oldest children are not scared of going to have their teeth worked on. Soon my three yr old will join in. Dr. Roth is a very thorough dentist and he surprised me on my first visit by measuring my gums! He went through my xrays with me and pointed out my cavities. Now most of us just take a dentist's word on treatment but I completely felt secure when Dr. Roth showed me the cavities and the root canal I needed, like yesterday. After getting all my work done, I have been on cleaning appointments and I feel confident about smiling. I have referred many friends and family and I have not heard a single regret. Instead all I have heard is, "wow, he is thorough!". The only thing that is a bit of a disaapointment, is the parking! 25 cents buys you 7 mins.! Oh ya, the office keeps change if you need it. How much more helpful can they be!!!The assistants and receptionist are very friendly too. It is like going to a good set of friends for a visit.

I feel I need to share the experience I had with Dr. Roth over the last few years. When living in San Francisco, he recommended and facilitated Invisalign treatment over a course of 2 1/2 years. While this treatment was expensive, out-of-pocket ($4k!) and HAD to be paid in advance, I decided it was worth the lifetime benefit of having straight teeth.

Initially, Dr. Roth said the treatment would take 1 1/2 years at the most. This was great, considering that my wedding was at the end of the 1 1/2 years! However, as we got closer to the wedding date, he revised his timeline and informed me that I would need an additional 15 liners, which equates to another 6 months. Keep in mind these treatments require bi-weekly office visits, obviously a huge time commitment and now impossible since my husband-to-be and I were moving to NYC!

Despite my disappointment in the additional treatment, and anxiety around how I would continue the treatment in NYC, Dr. Roth ASSURED me that any dentist would happily take over my case with no problem, no mention of additional cost. He took advantage of my lack of knowledge, because of course any dentist would need to charge for their services!!

Once in NYC I learned quickly that I would need to pay an additional $2k for another dentist's work. I contacted Dr. Roth on a few occasions asking for a partial refund since he did NOT finish his contracted services. He responded by denying any kind of refund, but offering to finish if I flew out to SF! Obviously this was highly unlikely, and highly unprofessional.

My current dentist office validated my anger and frustration-they assured me that Dr. Roth's response represented bad business since most dentists typically refund at least a portion. So now here I stand $5k later (I had new dentist make one adjustment), without straight teeth!

If you are looking for a fair dentist you can trust, do NOT go to Dr. Roth!

DRr Roth and his office are a wonderful place to get your dental work done. Dr is very cogniscent of eachperson's quirks and needs for Novocaine and helps to get the job done. I have never enjoyed a visit so much and Dr always tells me wht hie is going to do and is very fentle.
