Dr Trawick and TOSH were recommended by a friend who plays the same sport and had the same injury - Torn ACL and 2nd degree MCL tear. I was impressed at how quickly my friend was able to get back to the sport and his impressions of Dr Trawick's expertise and the TOSH medical and physical therapy staff. I having nothing but good things to say about TOSH and Dr. Trawick. He clearly explained my options and his opinion of the best strategy. After some research, and knowing that I wanted to stay active in my sport, I elected for a "double bundle" ACL reconstruction to provide the best chances for stability during twisting motions required for my sport. The surgery went extremely smoothly. I was apprehensive having never had this type of surgery, but there was no reason to be... the surgery itself was a breeze. Pre-therapy and recovery, though it takes time and work, has not been difficult or extensively painful.

The one recommendation I could make others about to embark on this is to do the exercises the physical therapy dept provides and prep for the surgery by doing the pre-hab and getting the knee back to fairly normal feel and swelling levels prior to the surgery. I think this really helped in my recovery. As far as doctors go however, I believe Dr Trawick is at the top of his game and highly recommend him.
