I saw Dr Kort on the recommendation of my midwife. I was 9 1/2 months pregnant and had hurt my hip very badly. He fixed my hip and sent me on my way. Three years later I dislocated my shoulder so I went back to Dr Kort, he fixed my shoulder and sent me on my way. I brought my three-year-old (yet to sleep through the night) son in for an adjustment. He adjusted my son, while entertaining him with muppet voices, and sent us on our way. May I add that my son then began sleeping through the night and stopped his tantrums. My thirteen year old daughter is now seeing Dr Kort for treatment of scoliosis. After only 3 or 4 weeks she is making amazing progress. The physical pain she has been experiencing is lessening and other behavioral symptoms are subsiding.
I would refer anyone with any problem to Dr Kort. He is knowledgable, intelligent, personable, and he teaches his patients instead of simply treating them. He has integrity and practices what he preaches. We will be patients of Dr Kort for a VERY long time. Worth the drive.

This doctor has NONE of the traits I look for in a health care provider:
* confidence and education without being arrogant,
* wisdom and maturity,
* has a valuable professional opinion, but is open-minded and willing to discuss opposing of points of view.

The one positive thing I have to say about the experience is that the blond front desk woman was friendly and helpful.

But his assistant, Sherry, is painful to be with. She was doing a treatment on me that lasted about 15 minutes, and I couldn't wait for it to be over. She talked non-stop about herself, which would have been bad enough by itself, but her voice is like Fran Drescher's... SO annoying.

Just for the record, my problem is with THIS particular doctor, not with all chiropractors. In general, I believe a good chiropractor plays an important role in a balanced health care team. But Dr. Kort seems to expect his patients to use his services to the exclusion of all other professionals and protocols.

For example, Dr. Kort's office is located near a McDonald's, a Providence clinic and a Walgreen's pharmacy. He refers to the three of them together as "the triangle of death," or something equally disparaging and ridiculous. While it goes without saying that fast food is unhealthy, I am appalled at the vanity demonstrated in his attempt to try to set himself of as this Master Healer while putting all other doctors in the same category as McDonald's.

As for Dr. Kort's patient care, I cannot say whether or not his methods are effective. I will say that I have received benefits from other chiropractors, acupuncturists and massage therapists after just one visit. I had three adjustments from him, without any noticeable improvement in my symptoms.

Fabulous Chiropractor and professional staff. I refer many people there and have heard one of his happy clients say he has "Magic Hands." Worth traveling for.
Very recommended.

Dr. Kort is a very knowledgeable and helpful. He treats all patients with respect and understanding. He helped re-align without manipulation and his staff is very friendly. I would definitely recommend him to anyone seeking help. He treats the whole body.
