My husband and I have been going to this doctor for over 10 years, but the time has come for us to seek a new doctor. When I was younger and read about breast cancer screening during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and asked for a referral to get a mammogram, he gave me an attitude about my age, that unless there was breast cancer in my family, I was too young to be worried, and was very smirky about it. He was oblivious to the fact that there are women, very young women even, who do get breast cancer even without family history.

My husband has been seeing him for thyroid, cholesterol, blood pressure, which is being managed by medication and regular blood work - nothing else. He has made no effort to work with my husband on his obesity, hasn't even recommended a nutritionist.

He is always dismissive and in a rush, like he's doing you a favor by seeing you. Remember, we the patients hire the doctors - they work for us, yet this one has a superiority complex about himself, it seems.

When we went in to get a form signed for our foster care license, that simply stated we were in good health, and it asked if his opinion was based on an ongoing relationship with us as patients or on today's visit, he said just the visit! He has known us both for years!!! He either didn't remember or didn't care.

Condescending, always in a rush, doesn't look at your overall health needs at all - you must be your own advocate and prediagnose yourself because he doesn't care about you.
