STAY AWAY FROM SAM KHALIL. I went to his elmwood avenue office while he still had an office in Webster. I chose brighton because it was closer to my house. It was either this "real" office...which it is worse than strong dentists that are students... I should have just gone there because I only had two options. His office or students. He told me I needed all new crowns... I have four. And, that I had three cavities that I needed filled. And a root canal on one of my crowned teeth. I have the canal first and to this day more than a year later it is so painful I can hardly stand it. I also had three fillings... which now have my bite off and also cause me pain. I told him I was biting my cheek after the fillings over one of my crowned teeth... HE GROUND DOWN MY CROWN AND THEN TOLD ME I NEEDED A NEW ONE. he destroyed it right before my eyes.... I didn 't know it at the time but I do now because I felt him do it on my lower mouth not my upper where i had the filling. I was called a few months ago and told he no longer takes my insurance and that he sold the webster practice on empire and the new dentist there does. She is just as bad as him. $$$ now, i don't know what to do. CAn i sue after a year? i know he did it but i can't actually prove it because i doubt he actually wrote down that i was complaining of pain. all those newspaper clippings on the wall on elmwood are a scam...to make you think he is a real dentist. he is a joke. he just wants your money... he got me to open a care credit account to pay for a 1000 root canal. he royally screwed me. dont let him do it to you.

Dentist is just money hungry. I had a small filling fall out of one of my molars and he wanted to grind it down to nothing and put a crown on it. Went to another dentist for a second opinion and he just filled it with a new filling. Mr. Khalil also made me get all new xrays when I recently had them at another place already. He also told me I needed two crowns that I currently have to be replaced for my two front teeth. When I asked why he said, "oh they don't bother you? You have a tiny gap in between the two teeth it looks like. But if it doesn't bother you then I won't touch them." Really? Because you just said I needed to have them replaced? Over diagnosis everything because he's looking to drill and replace as many teeth as possible to make an extra buck. No good. You only get one set of teeth don't let this guy mess them all up and take as much of your money as possible while he's at it! Not a good dentist what so ever.Oh yeah he also asked when I was going to get my wisdom teeth pulled after looking inside my mouth and at all the xrays he just took, my wisdom teeth were pulled YEARS ago, when I told him this he says, "Oh was it just last year?"

I have gone here for several years and always wondered if perhaps the reason the experiences were poor was because I schedule them later in the day. Be prepared to wait at least 20 min beyond your scheduled appointment for the cleaning. I have never been pulled in on time and have waited up to an hour. the worst experience I had was with my wisdom teeth. They set up appointments for an outside doctor to come in and give you a consultation as Dr.Khalil doesnt pull them from what I understand. This other guy was so unprofessional. I waited over an hour for him to pull me back and review my xrays. He took about a 30 sec look at the xrays and said "oh, I can't do this, you have to see a surgeon." Then he was done with me. I waited over an hour for this guy to spend a minute with me. He talked on his cell phone very loudly as I could hear him from the waiting room. He walked out in front of me on it several times as the receptionist would just look from him to me and apoligize for my wait. The teeth cleanings are hit or miss. I have had some that were painless and a couple that left me scared to ever go back. After reviewing what other people have said on here, I can see that this seems to be an on going issue with this practice. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I'm sure they don't care.

I arrived 5 minutes early for my appointment and after dealing with an extremely rude receptionist I proceeded to wait an additional 35 minutes past my scheduled time in a completly empty office before a visisbly overworked employee led me to the back. There I waited an additional 45 minutes before anyone came to see me. As I waited I could clearly hear staff gossiping with one another. When someone finally did arrive to do xrays she took me through the process then a very rude woman came over and yelled at her for doing them wrong in front of me. As this new woman proceeded to do them "correctly" she made my gums bleed. I then endured a hour long cleaning in which the staff was extrmley unpersonable and poorly skilled as it was the most painful cleaning I have ever had and my teeth and gums hurt for 3 days after. When the dentist saw me he was very rude and unproffesional. He then told me I had two cavities but would not tell me where or give me details on their severity that I questioned as I had just had a cleaning a few months before. Overall this office was terrible. There was not a single good thing about it besides the location (reason I switched). This was my first and last expirence with this office. I will be going to my old dentist to be assured that I do need dental work. If you are questioning something about this place go with your gut and choose a different dentist!!!

The staff is unprofessional. The dentist recommend procedures that are unnecessary. They use a numbing gel and then use a HUGE needle to inject the anesthesia in. In addition, your tenths become really sensitive after fillings because they can't do it right.

Never want to go back to this office again. So, unfriendly. My most horrible dental experience.

Do not go to this dentist. The staff is unprofessional. The dentist does not do a thorough job of examining your teeth and he is not professional.
