Dr. Mathur and his staff are just wonderful. He just did 2nd surgery on my husband and we would not trust another anywhere else to touch him. He is caring, concerned, top of his profession and honest. Scott Wallace, PA and Nurse Amy are just as wonderful. They treat you as if you were family with their compassion and concern going above and beyond ensuring the patients needs are met quickly and accurately. A HUGE THANK YOU to them. We sing their praises to anyone that needs orthopaedic help.

I have been suffering from back and leg pain for nearly four years. I have tried physical therapy, pain medications and spinal injections. I saw several surgeons who suggested surgery. I knew I needed surgery but had a difficult time choosing the correct surgeon until I met Dr. Mathur. Dr. Mathur was very down to earth, compassionate and knowledgeable. I really liked the fact that he did not immediately want to do surgery. I looked him up online and he has done alot of research in spinal surgery and was an assistant professor at UNC. After trying physical therapy one more time, he proceeded with surgery. He studied my films and thought that he could do this surgery minimally invasively. After surgery my leg pain was gone when I woke up. I still had some back pain but was home the next day. I had two small incisions on my back which healed quickly. I had such a great experience. I have my life back. I only have a little bit of back pain. They have incredible physical therapy as well. Overall I had a great experience. Thank You Dr. Mathur.

I went to several spine surgeons in Raleigh area who all recommended surgery for my lumbar spinal stenosis. I am 75 years old but very active (love to play golf). Most of the surgeons suggested I get a lumbar fusion but I have heard nightmare stories about back fusions. One of my golfing buddies gave me Dr. Mathur's name. He had similar issues and had minimally invasive spinal surgery and was home the same day. He had great results. I went to see Dr. Mathur in Cary and really liked the office staff and his nurse Amy. Dr. Mathur was very friendly and intelligent. I was immediately at ease. He did not push me into surgery. In fact, I did 6 weeks of therapy and had two epidural injections before he even offered surgery. I had a new minimally invasive surgery called the X-STOP. I had the procedure done with me awake and I was home the same day. Two weeks later I was on the golf course and had my life back....Unfortunately surgery did not improve my golf game. I am so grateful to Dr. Mathur and the staff at Cary Orthopaedics for their help and compassion. I would recommend them to all my friends and family.
