A little lengthy, well worth reading! I was under the impression that Dr. Amideo truly wanted to help me (initially) However, about 2 months after my second appt I called for a refill of Norco. After the second call being put in from the call not being returned, the medical assistant was less than friendly and states Amideo would fill ONE LAST script to last 30 days and no more until I was seen ok. Okay fine, even tho I don't have insurance, I was understanding... I picked up that script on Aug 2. Since my Medicaid still hadn't come thru, I saw my PCP on Aug 29 for the next refill and other conditions he was managing. Clearly let him know that it was a 2-3 day early refill but he had no problem with that. Sept 5 I ended up in ER due to EXCRUCIATING pain down my back and worse when I even slightly moved my neck. Treated there, sent home with percocet and able to sleep that night, thank God. Sept 26 I followed with Amideo. Explained the ER situation my worsening condition. Still no Medicaid. She said PT soon as I have insurance, possibly injections, possibly a NEUROSURGEON, definitely an order for a recent MRI and Norco refill to get me by (I found out not to be filled until the 29th) ? I was honest about everything and said I had taken 4 or 5 Norco some days, which she seemed to have no problem considering my severe PAIN. I scheduled the MRI. Called the office to see about getting my refill 2 days early. No call back the whole day. Tues morn, call from MA telling me Amid. called yesterday but it was a bad number. LOL I have had this number for 7 years, never has my phone been disconnected. MA says to drop off my script to them (20 mins away) and get one that could be filled that day (after reprimanding and completely talking down to me for not taking it to the pharmacy even tho it couldn't be filled for 2 more days) Go down, exchange scripts, go to pharmacy. While waiting, in PAIN and now WITHDRAWAL Amid's MA called. " You didn't tell us you saw Dr. X for your last refill, you doubled up on refills and as of now you're discharged. " ??? I could not believe it. I explained in detail everthing; no insurance, waited 27 days between refills, thought they had this info anyway VIA umcomputers since each physician knew I was under the others care. Mind you Amid is a PA, not MD. Still, this "lady" MA didn't care at all. It was like a jealous gf: " Well, you went and saw him and got your refill from him so you can just go back there and have HIM help you". Really? Wow I planned to get further treatment from Amid AFTER my Medicaid kicked in. Even QUIT my part time job to be eligible for state insurance. "You're discharged, uh huh you're discharged." is all she kept repeating. I drove around to pick up my refill and pay attention: IT WAS CANCELLED. Unbelievable. Called my pcp, his MA called back said he's totally confused (no surprise now) and come down for my refill. First, my Dr has always been a SWEETHEART. He WANTS you get well. SHOWS he cares. I explained everything to him. He said he already spent 45 before I came in trying to get to the bottom of all this. 4 5 mins! 2

I explained everything to him. He said he already spent 45 before I came in trying to get to the bottom of all this. 4 5 mins!<major kudos right there. Apparently when I got my refill on Aug 2, Amid had written it with a REFILL. Dr said to me, I s that you didn't get that script filled. How could I?? I didn't even know it was there. Amid said she was filling for 30 days ONLY. Apparently they ASSUMED that I'm a lying JUNKIE and took and refilled the scrip somewhere else, which would total 3 refills in 30 days. OMG never happened. I have good rapport with my Dr and he TRUSTS me because I am an honest person. He refilled my script and let me know that if ANYTHING happened, even by mistake that his liscence was on the line. I assured him I wouldn't let anything like this happen and that I was very offended of Amids treatment of me. That's not how I was raised. My mother would be sic feet under the day I turned into a worthless, lying junkie. So this is my personal experience with Dr. (PA :) Amideo. Take what you will!!!
