.

I was 20 minutes late to my appointment. Outside of excuses, that is not acceptable. The reason the appointment was made, was due to an emergency room visit three days prior to. The hospital had stated that a cyst had ruptured and the veins around my uterus and fallopian tubes were enlarged (called Congested Pelvic Disorder). The hospital recommended that I see an OBGYN within 2 days even if I was feeling better. I spoke to my general practitioner to see if I should use the hospital referred OB or the one my GP had recommended a year and a half prior to. My GP stated to go with the one I saw a year and a half ago, so that she would know my history. Well, like I said, I was 20 minutes late. I did call to let them know I was running late. I get there and they are willing to see me. After paying a portion of my deductible (this is in December, so you can tell how often I go to the doctors) $109.00, I go back to the office. The OB came in and asked me what was wrong. I stated everything that had happened to me the previous Sunday. With no real examination, other than a conversation, she states she wants me to call three days after my menstruation begins to put me on a medication to regulate my ovulation. Concerned that the pain would come back that sent me to the hospital, I explained that I had been taking Mortin more than the recommended dose on the bottle. She gets me a prescription for ibroprofen and hydrocodone combined and explains that my situation only happens to women due to alcoholism. I state that I may have 2 drinks a year. This is the truth. My daughter will be three in January, and I can count all the drinks I have ha since she was born on my fingers. She then responds back pointing at a vein on my arm, stating that I look congested all over. I am sorry I was late. That is an error on my fault, all excuses aside. I am not a drug seekers, as I felt she assumed. I am not an alcoholic, either. I do smoke cigarettes, and if she would have indicated that that caused my problem, I would be more prone to believe that. There is something wrong. I should not be on my monthly almost all of the time. I should not have pain that causes my blood pressure to spike up to 155/101 at the ripe old age of 30. I should not be sitting in a hospital for 6 hours to turn around and be told that my situation is caused by alcoholism. I see she received a 5 star rating, and I am not sure how this could be. Maybe she was hungry and late for lunch because me, I don't know. What I do know, is I wasted my money and I still need to see an OB to find out what is wrong with me. I will be telling my GP of this situation in hopes that she does not refer anymore patients to this clinic.
